Crankworx Whistler, Red Bull Joyride is the planet’s largest slopestyle mountain bike competition (and where it all began), with Joyride the marquee event of the four-stop Crankworx World Tour, drawing tens of thousands of the MTB faithful. This theater on some of the world’s most unique terrain offers up the thrilling finale to eleven days of festivities at Crankworx Whistler and the Triple Crown of Slopestyle, the most prestigious honor in freestyle mountain biking.

 @scott-townes: You can see in this picture www.pinkbike.com/photo/12573842 that it is for sure bigger than 6-8 feet. It is about 2-3 times as tall as Tom in this. It is around 12-15 vertical feet to the top of the knuckle, and bigger if you land a little low.

 @scott-townes: Ha. Ha. Stop running your mouth about things you do not know. the start drop has not changed in years. There is now a lipped step down next to, but the drop is the same. 15 x 15.

 @scott-townes: I saw it in person 3 weeks ago, and have been to crankworks and whistler for years. It has basically been unchanged for the last 3-4 years

 @leon-forfar: Well then you're a f*cking idiot because the video above in this story and when Rogatkin did a fast plant 3 whip last year (along with every other run vid) clearly shows a different drop. How hard do you try in being a complete jackass?

 @scott-townes: I think everyone overlooked that drop because it was tiny. No need to be a dick when everyone here was obviously talking about the big "start" drop as that is the first real feature on the course. We all knew which one we were talking about..

 @choppertank3e: www.pinkbike.com/photo/6321301 this is me on a hardtail dirt jumper at the original Rampage course. 6" Marzocchi up front. No Pinbike feet, it was actually measured from where I landed on up. Hitting a 12-15' drop on a hardtail isn't THAT big of a deal, and there are a fair few Pinbikers who have done more. Granted, I had plusher suspension than slopestyle guys run, but still.

 In my opinion they should replace one of the manufactured ramps with a dirt jump, I'm kind of into scenic, "natural" jump spots.
