Katy Curd signs with Specialized UK in 2018

bigquotesBig changes for me this year and I couldn't be more excited for it. Specialized is such a huge brand and I'm honoured to be a part of the team. The bikes are incredible, all kitted out with Hope bling and fresh Ohlins goodies I've never ridden anything so plush, I feel spoilt! After taking almost two years out I am going to be back racing downhill again, nationals and world cups and just having some fun, back between the tape is where I want to be as that's what I love doing.

Concussion has been a big part of my life for the last 18 months but I feel fully on the other side of it now, back on the bike, pushing limits, training again, things feel good, better than good it's amazing! I've worked endlessly with Adrian Stokes, my coach, to make sure we have done everything correctly, so to get the news that I can race again this season is exactly the reason why we've been putting in all the hard work. I certainly wouldn't be where I am at the moment if it wasn't for Adrian Stokes helping me through everything over the last year but I'm more excited to be heading into the season with him as my coach too, 2018 is going to be a good year. I've just got to try and get as fast as my bike now!

Bontrager tyres on a Specialized, interesting

Why not? Happy enough to run them on my bikes.

@deathchr: Because Bontrager is Trek's in-house brand. Trek being a direct competitor of Spesh. Plus Specialized make some of their own tyres. Bit of cross-competition parts speccing there.

@danspring: Its called FREEWILL fit what you want. The deal may be a "frame only" deal. If she`s running HOPE brakes etc it points to that? Wink
