Joe Krejbich - Keeping Rachel Rolling
Words Chris Hall - Photos Sven Martin

Ever wondered what it takes to keep one of the most successful riders on the planet rolling? Well Joe Krejbich, mechanic to Rachel Atherton, joins us for this episode of the podcast. We sit down at Joe's Shropshire home to chat about his background, how he got from working in a bike shop to working for the Atherton's, and then we'll step through a World Cup weekend from Joe’s point of view. I'll be asking him about Rachel's snapped chain at Fort William, why she wasn't wearing gloves in her race run at Andorra, and getting some top tips for looking after your own bike.

You can listen in the player above, by searching for ‘Downtime Podcast’ on iTunes, Spotify, or Google Podcasts, by asking Alexa, or over on our website www.downtimepodcast.com/joe-krejbich/ and you can follow us on Instagram @downtimepodcast

@downtimepodcast: a new listener here. I've had these on repeat since I discovered them a couple of weeks back. Caser Rojo and Cy Turner my faves so far. You're giving us bike nerds great content!

I've been listening for a few months now, enjoying back through old episodes on my commute. Having recently started listening to a few other MTB related podcasts your relaxed vibe really sticks out (in a good way). Some others jump at any opportunity to talk about themselves, but that's not the point of an interview is it? We downloaded it to hear the interviewee's opinion on stuff.

Bottom line - Really good stuff mate, carry on as you're doing. It is appreciated!

@downtimepodcast Brilliant bike nerd content. Only negative is that the episodes doesn't come often enough. I have 1,5 hour commute every day, and this is one of those podcasts I can't wait for the next one to come out. The amount of detail you get into like on the Cesar Rojo interview is absolutely excellent!
