The Pacific Northwest is mostly wet and rainy. Well on this day it was pouring rain. The rain didn’t stop or slow down the entire time we filmed. Not only is riding in these conditions challenging but filming has its own set of challenges too. There was that fear of my camera cover malfunctioning and letting water in to my camera or lens. Greg and I were constantly drying the lens and trying to keep it from fogging.
The star of the show is Kole Wetherell. He was a champ all day. He had to hike his bike up steep soaking wet terrain in order to re-shoot a section, and didn't complain once. As a matter of fact, he rode great and had a big ol’ smile on his face all day.
At the end of a day full of challenges, it's not about over coming them, or even making a sweet video, for us, it was about being out in the woods having a good time with good people. Enjoy!
