Logan Whitehead getting creative with his line choice.
Logan Whitehead
Logan test riding the new Enve HV wheels. He was pretty stoked on how they handled in the most rocky trail we could find.

Logan Whitehead taking in some of Utah's finest Loam and slabs. Late in the season, we set out with a fresh set of ENVE M70 HV’s to explore some new terrain to put them to the test. Our goal was to capture that feeling of being lost in the moment – when you’re engulfed in the experience of shredding your bike on virgin terrain.

  • 10 6
Just ride in a straight line like a normal person you squid!!!
  • 6 0
 But turn-bars are fun...
  • 5 1
Haha! @Vogankhadafi you got neg propped on your own vid! Where's the love? Harsh!
And i have to stand behind the Turn-Bar for all Its worth...its my only trick!

Just re-watched. That’s a lot of bar turns.
  • 55 2
 There's loam in Utah?!
  • 10 1
If you know where to find it...
  • 10 2
 Where do you find it?
  • 107 0
At the local garden center. Mix it in with your topsoil or triple mix.
  • 5 1
Oh yap, its there. That was an awesome edit.
  • 5 0
Wow… thats my kind of terrain! Absolutly love it and what a great vid.
  • 16 0
I love loam, too bad it takes about 500 years to create about an inch of it :-(
  • 9 0
High up in the Canyons above SLC if you look around for it. That slabage looks like up around the reservoir by Brighton. Used to drag the bike up there in the early 2000's.
  • 7 0
Awesome. Minus the granite slabs, there's soil like that all over the higher altitude Northern Utah trails all the way up to the Logan Canyon/Bear Lake area way up north. The trick is catching them while they're moist. So much more to Utah than Virgin!

I gotta give Logan credit for his riding. He looks amazing in this video, but like with all videos what he is riding is way more technical than is shows in the clips. Logan just destroys some of this stuff that I can hardly ride.
  • 5 3
No loam. Just broken up pine cones and needles
  • 3 0
Great edit. Love the raw feel. Finding lines high in the Wasatch, good stuff.
  • 1 1
Could also be Little Cottonwood Canyon or American Fork Canyon. Either way I want to find this zone to go ride.
  • 3 0
its obviously lake mary with mt. tuscarora in the background.
  • 1 1
Looks like LCC to me That mismatching fork decal is making my eye twitch
  • 29 3
That's the best video I've seen in a while. Filmmakers take note!
  • 21 3
 ...and be ENVEous
  • 3 1
 See what ya did there...
  • 3 0
 ya, good video!
  • 4 2
I d like an ENVEtation to come for a ride...though I personally miss the Utah snow even more.
  • 12 0
But doesn't it bother you that you don't know what he had for breakfast?
  • 11 0
Raw, no slow-mo riding, mixed with down-tempo music. Like mixing Adderall with Valium. Haven't fav'd in a while, thanks!
  • 12 1
That drop onto the wet rock made me sweat! What a ballsy move.
  • 8 0
I'll never be able to afford enve wheels, but maybe I can save enough money to buy the socks.
  • 7 0
I have ridden in utah 7 times and have never seen terrain like that. Fantastic edit, anyone know what town that is by?
  • 3 3
Might be the Uinta Mountains, but there are enough ranges in Utah and so little information in that video it would be hard to say for sure. My best guess are the Uintas, about two hours from SLC. A lot of that area is wilderness though, so not sure what is open to biking.
  • 13 1
My guess is big cottonwood canyon.
  • 12 1
Yea, that's Lake Mary up Big Cottonwood Canyon at Brighton resort.
  • 3 1
Would agree with the Big Cottonwood remark.
  • 2 0
The 'town' thats nearby is Salt Lake City, the biggest city in Utah
  • 1 1
i would bet the Uintas as well. But could easily be up one of the Canyons too, so this answer was helpful haha
  • 1 1
As said before, it is up at Brighton, NOT the Unitas.
  • 1 0
got it, whelp looks fun regardless
  • 5 0
Sweet vid, but I have to admit, i was hoping it was a follow up edit to Cody Kelley's Brighton slabs segment from about a year ago!
  • 7 0
Haha, It is, just no Cody Kelly. Actually I think i asked him if he had time to shoot with logan and I but I don't think he had the time.
  • 6 3
Most people look like they are trying to pretend they are fast when they do little wheel pull ups and slides. This guy looks like he has no choice in the matter it's just so natural and smooth! Rad edit great riding!
  • 4 0
Wow...I had no idea Utah had that kind of terrain...a roadtrip mixed with the slabs and that...count me in!!!
  • 4 1
Dude! Utah has every kind of terrain. Get yo ass down here!
  • 10 9
don't get me wrong the video is beautiful made.... be he is trying way to hard looking cool and that is never cool :/
and the shouty bike makes it even worse Frown 4/10 from me.
  • 2 0
Ya'll are off your rocker. Logan is an amazing rider and human being. Video does no justice at showing how difficult that stuff is to ride and Logan makes it look easy.
  • 8 5
Nice. Finally someone with some taste in music beyond the usual shite rock.
  • 3 0
 Utah has some awesome trails
  • 3 0
Yea logan! So stoked for you!
  • 1 1

  • 2 0
Yeah Steve!!! Great filming, riding, and LOCATION! I want to ride there too.
  • 2 0
Great vid but is it just me or was it 20 seconds of loam and 2 minutes of rock!!!!
  • 3 0
Nice vid Steve. Nice riding Logan.
  • 3 0
 Sick playground.

  • 1 1
 Socks to Rims too

  • 3 0
 cool trails!!!
  • 2 0
I love the smell of shredded pine-cone and rock slab. Great vid!
  • 1 0
Yeah you can really smell the Summer.
  • 2 0
I love the smell of loam in the morning!
  • 1 0
Awesome edit!!!!!! I have to ask, how many cracked rims did he go through by the time all the filming was done? Razz Razz
  • 1 0
None! Enves are pretty solid rims man. And these are the new Enve HV (high volume) with are even more sturdy in rocky trails like this. Not only that but Logan is pretty smooth over the rocks.
  • 1 0
if it's not neon, it shouldn't be on
  • 1 0
it looks like a fun trail.
  • 1 0
hes got his bar turns on point... did u realize?
  • 1 0
Sick trails , is this under snow now or no ?
  • 3 0
Yeah it's all under snow now. Will be til about may, or maybe even into end of June. Depends on how winter goes.
  • 1 0
Aww right on , I need a vacation ... further south I guess
  • 2 0
 Needed this.
  • 2 0
 awesome riding.
  • 1 1
His fork looks like it could use some more air...riding low in its travel...
  • 2 1
And THAT is why you don't inflate your front tire with helium!!! Jeeez.
  • 2 0
 That Norco looks noice
  • 2 2
 Utah?? Looks more like Tahoe.
  • 1 0
 *Edit* miss reply.
  • 2 2
"My bike pulls to the left" - Guy in video
  • 1 2
He'd be smoother/quicker and even better to watch with half as many bar turns.
  • 2 2
 Uintas?
  • 6 1
Brighton, most likely between Milly Chair and Crest Chair heading up near Catherine Pass.
  • 2 1
Looks an awful lot like Big Cottonwood canyon. Smile
  • 1 1
 Vids
  • 2 3
If only there weren't a load of crap snow here in Utah right now.
  • 1 3
 It's melting fast though.
  • 1 0
