Speaking after the race, Bruni said, "New country, new trails, new people and I loved everything. The people are all super-friendly, they all welcomed me, congratulated me for the season and becoming World Champ and I really felt good vibes all weekend. At the race I was a bit scared. I didn’t know if they were going to be wild or aggressive, I laid off especially at the start so Gee and Colin just went faster than me, so I was a bit stuck in traffic. People were just racing big time, it was good fun and I didn’t crash. I didn’t see many people just killing themselves, it was a really good day and really good fun on the hill."

 I'd imagine every single guy competing in the event is a competent bike handler so it's amazing and humiliating to see just how crazy fast a top pro is, just effortlessly quicker on any line he went on

 As always, it's hard to tell but the track is really quite gnarly in real life. Pretty steep and techy in places. And so much fun. Look forward to it every year.. best day on the bike.

 I was thinking the same thing. Anyone entering Foxhunt is, as you said, very competent on a bike, yet gets blown away by Loic when he decides to put the power down. So impressive.

 Even on parts where there is no line (looked like he was riding the ridge between two), it was so effortless and fast. I love watching these POVs, especially the back shots showing all the carnage. What a nutty event.

 @CF519: I wouldn't say that.. I heard a few people saying that weekend that they'd never ridden a mountain bike before the foxhunt having bought all the gear the week before...

 The lines he took were amazing. Shows how pros see a lot of options on the trail. Some of the passes were tight and he was able to pass riders without even touching them. Great footage!

 @patpero: yeah perhaps in those early parts where whole bunch of racers were stuck at some point. But when it got very fast and technical where pushing the other rider would be downright dangerous, i thought he passed them clean. And it's pretty amazing to watch Smile

 shows how quick they are! the only reason they don't catch em all, is they are blocked almost the entire way down. Looks like a fun event.

 Best moments: line change at 2:08 so impressive it causes a racer to forget how to ride a bike,

Cat and mouse from 2:30-2:50, that guy was doing very well in holding off the world champ,

Finally guy gets passed in the sprint at 5:06, realizes it’s Bruni and is all “I ain’t even mad”.
