There are no words to describe the sheer terror that would overcome me if I hit one of those jumps at speed.
(Jul 23, 2016 at 8:22)
Even the jumps in the berms look big.
(Jul 23, 2016 at 12:18)
Exact thought I had while watching. Different type of comfort zone.
(Jul 23, 2016 at 14:59)
All Smiles for the Air Miles!
(Jul 23, 2016 at 16:46)
Nothing but respect for all the riders that hit this. Definitely a different level of confidence and skill.
(Jul 23, 2016 at 8:40)
Bet you I could walk it :p
(Jul 23, 2016 at 7:42)
So good... How fast are they hitting those jumps?! They might as well stick a couple of wings on and get some lift going on...
(Jul 23, 2016 at 7:49)
To hit the step down, you need to come at 63km/h.. to give you an idea
(Jul 23, 2016 at 9:44)
: my bike would burn up on re-entry to the atmosphere
(Jul 23, 2016 at 19:30)
95 KPH which is like 110 MPH from what I learned in school. Pretty wild!
(Jul 23, 2016 at 19:32)
: what were they teaching you?
(Jul 24, 2016 at 1:07)
, you might need different teachers, other than the numbers being wrong in the first place, since when is the same value in KM/H more in M/H?
(Jul 24, 2016 at 6:57)
: math and stuff
(Jul 25, 2016 at 12:12)
: classic scott-townes
its a hair under 40mph
(Jul 25, 2016 at 17:45)
: So like 120 k/mph?
(Jul 23, 2016 at 11:18)
Insanity. Riding faster than most of us with ever ride a mtb.......................into a set of jumps.
(Jul 23, 2016 at 17:17)
is what we all hoped mountain biking would be someday. Huge, fun, and completely jaw-dropping. An event for all the right reasons.
(Jul 23, 2016 at 13:17)
Was that some sort of prototype GoPro on Sorge? Or just a protective case in case he eats shit.
(Jul 23, 2016 at 14:14)
it is for the wind
(Jul 23, 2016 at 16:57)
It's a wind sock!
(Jul 23, 2016 at 20:24)
Insane. I love Fest.
However I'm curious about Fests grip on media coverage of the event. I know they don't want photographers/video people coming in and poaching their work and releasing something they're not down with, but would letting these be open for outside media help Fest grow in popularity? I'd love to see those hills swarmed with people
(Jul 24, 2016 at 0:22)
This event takes place in an open bikepark, so there is a lot of spectactors and photographers, and that's not a problem I think.
(You can find some pictures on Facebook, "Arthur Chambre Photographie"/"VOS Photography" and probably more on the others website with
(Jul 24, 2016 at 7:00)
: oh that's cool. Maybe it was aggys reunion I remember reading an interview last year about how they wanted the media controlled. Their reasoning was valid, I'm just wondering if they're still doing that
(Jul 23, 2016 at 20:04)
Makes the "big" jumps I hit look like speed bumps in the parking lot.
(Jul 23, 2016 at 7:36)
So sick, can't even imagine ever being able to ride that stuff!
(Jul 23, 2016 at 16:54)
Would love to be able to ride one of those bikes one day, sat here with my hardtail dreaming of being able to float
(Jul 23, 2016 at 16:12)
(Jul 23, 2016 at 10:06)
Looking forward to kurts new signature bike that comes w no seat, since he never needs it
(Jul 23, 2016 at 12:05)
That hang time. So intense!
(Jul 23, 2016 at 13:32)
for these men technique is not the problem, just have enough speed, so impressive !
(Jul 24, 2016 at 17:33)
"there is no f'ing way" - words uttered out of my mouth while watching this video....
(Jul 23, 2016 at 20:20)
Hold my beer...
(Jul 26, 2016 at 8:50)
these jumps are just so massive, and don't forgot that gopro videos usually make things look smaller than they actually are.
(Jul 23, 2016 at 11:37)
how long is the biggest jump of those?
(Jul 23, 2016 at 11:46)
Step-down is 27 to 30 meters depending on where you land, so about 90-100feet
(Jul 23, 2016 at 12:33)
: Hey, TheFEST. You are TheBEST.
(Jul 23, 2016 at 19:17)
: Thanks for the info!
(Jul 23, 2016 at 20:05)
: Makes any "big" jump look like a speed bump.
(Jul 24, 2016 at 12:11)
: That variance of 3m in where you land is bigger in itself than 90% of the jumps I do....
(Jul 23, 2016 at 19:57)
(Jul 23, 2016 at 12:05)
mmmh is there a new gopro coming? Check the chesty

(Jul 23, 2016 at 13:54)
