rode those trails last August. it's good as it looks. sadly I fear I did not look so good, especially after a fast dusty wipeout. I lookedlike I'd been hit by a landmine! still smiling tho:-)
Move to madeira. Most of the people there speak english, the riding is amazing (1900m ELEVATION!!!!) and the weather is great. In the winter it gets a bit more rainy but it's still reasonably warm and it doesn't rain that much (probably less than polish summer). It's not too hot in the summer, the people are great, the food is great. The only problem is if you want to live in a big city - the biggest city there is 250k people. Not that small but still it's not new york or berlin
Sounds like heaven! Big cities are over rated in my opinion. I'm living in a big city now and I would so much rather have good riding than good restaurants. Sign me up!
That's the problem is that I like big cities but I kinda have no choice given I can get a job in max 2 cities per country given my profesion. Still I really recommend it. I will probably go back to Madeira soon
awesome riding awesome place but c'mon maaan!.... you cant call the uk boring, it has some of the best riding in the world! don't let a bit of rain put you off, infact sometimes i prefer getting pinned in the wet and mud cos thats what its all about!
Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm up for riding in the wet, but every ride for the last two months has been in the rain and it grinds you down. Madeira was the break that I needed!
