Mason Bond Blasts Sun Valley - Video

Mason Bond getting a solid sampling of Sun Valley singletrack.

Reynolds team racer Mason Bond has been hitting the circuit hard this summer driving around the country going to races. From the outside, it sounds pretty sweet, but leading the nomadic lifestyle can take its toll over the course of a season. Living the van life, dealing with occasional injuries and putting up with a lot of crappy food on the road can land you somewhere south of awesome,...but it's not all a world of black clouds either.

The sun does shine occasionally on this road warrior as he gets to hit some bucket list riding destinations, and one of the best is Sun Valley, Idaho. Mason loaded up his rig to hit the Sun Valley round of the Enduro Cup this summer and got to sample the local vibe before the event. What he found was jaw-dropping scenery and a never ending network of classic, backcountry singletrack.

Heading out to scout the local conditions, Mason had a blast ripping on his Reynolds BLACKLABEL 27.5 Enduro wheels. Designed for hard charging, they are his go-to for enduro racing and anytime things could get hectic...and if you've seen Mason ride, that's basically every time he throws a leg over his bike. The durable carbon rims not only take the abuse he so generously dishes out, they help absorb it and lend an unwavering feel of traction. Watch him rip through rubble or carve nasty, loose turns and you'll know what they can do. And no matter how hard he pushes, the wide hookless channels always keep a death grip on his tires and never let out even the smallest burp.

We can't all ride like Mason, but anyone can try the wheels. Find a Reynolds dealer and hit them up on their Ride to Decide program to go shred a pair for yourself. But be warned, you may end up buying them.

I have Reynolds Black Label wheels on my DH bike, and they are solid! I haven't had to touch anything on them, even after a week in Whistler in all the chewed up, cratered out conditions its been lately. I wouldn't have gotten carbon wheels if it wasn't already spec'd on the bike, but now that I have them, I sure won't give them up. It looks like the latest version is even better with the perfect internal width. They come with I9 hubs, but I do like quiet hubs better, but you can't fault I9's quality.
