MEC to match BC Enduro Series Donations
This fall when the BC Enduro Series and Canadian National Enduro Series partnered with MEC, we had a big ol' discussion on how fortunate we are in Canada, to have likely the best trails in the world, in so many communities. The partnership sparked an invigorating discussion on just how these trails, communities and places get to be so extraordinary; it really boiled down to the dedication of local community clubs, the partnerships they create with stakeholders (RSTBC, provincial government, ranchers, private land holders etc) and ultimately the volunteer champions that make up these local clubs.
The BC Enduro Series family of events gives back 10% of all participant registrations at each event to the local club—a token of thanks for allowing out of towners, to explore like a local with their bikes. I’m excited to announce that MEC has generously offered to match this donation, ensuring a 20% donation of all participant registrations to the following clubs this year:
Penticton and Area Cycling Association - PACA
Fraser Valley Mountain Bike Association - FVMBA
United Riders of Crowsnest Pass - UROC
Bruce Trail Conservatory
Mountain Bikers of the Central Okanagan - MTBco
Sun Peaks Recreational Trail Association
United Riders of Crowsnest are very proud of the trail system we've built in the community and invite riders to come and discover the Pass and Jim Lucas, UROC
But What About Donations to the Resorts?
This is where thanks to all our resort partners, things got even sweeter.
The resorts, Blue Mountain Resort, Big White Bike Park and Sun Peaks Bike Park, thought this was such a unique opportunity that we all collaborated together and decided that rather than giving the donation to the host resort, the funds would be more beneficial to their local community associations. A list of those associations are below:
• Blue Mountain Resort | donation will go to: Bruce Trail Conservatory
• Big White Bike Park | donation will go to: Mountain Bikers of the Central Okanagan
• Sun Peaks Bike Park | donation will go to: Sun Peaks Recreational Trail Association

MEC Mechanic Services and Intense Demos
Be sure to stop by the MEC tent at BC and Canadian Enduro Series events this season, where their friendly and knowledgeable staff will be providing free mechanic services and Intense bike demos. Rumour has it Intense Factory Riders Chris Kovarik and Claire Buchar may also be around to join the fun.

Keep in mind this is an event that turns a profit.
The race tends to beat the crap out of trails.
This is a very thoughtful way to honestly give back to the sport.
MEC is a Canadian company and a one that i proudly support.
