PRESS RELEASE: Cycles Devinci

Cycles Devinci is proud to announce its roster of athletes and ambassadors for the 2023 season. This diverse group represents the spirit and passion of our company's rejuvenated vision. Summed up with the line "We Make Riders", that means our ambassadors are more than just talented athletes. They are adventurers, content creators, coaches and pioneers who share our love for riding bicycles. We’re excited to support and work with them to promote the sport in all its forms. The brief is simple: inspire others to ride.

Our lineup of ambassadors for the 2023 season includes some of the most exciting names in the sport. Cameron Zink and Steve Vanderhoek need no introductions.

Partnering with dedicated coaches who make a difference in their communities is important to us. We welcome Patrick Nolan, Merin Pierce, and all the coaches from Nolan Riding, and Patrick Chartrand from Montem Athlete Development.  35 years of riding 16 racing 450 plus races around the world and e-mtb with over 40,000 km and having a blast, haters gonna hate, come for a ride dude and you will see what we do. Happy Riding!

@norona: You've been riding longer than that dude has been alive.

@bansheeman123: I know I am as old as dust, ha ha!
  • 23 3
@norona: After 35 years of riding myself the only thing I have to show for accomplishments is a herniated disc and a ruined spine from the North Shore days... lol. E-mtb has not only brought back the passion, but also the ability to ride. I like being a happy e biker, people can say whatever they want, they can't wipe the smile of this old farts face!

 @norona: that's alot of mopeding

Even though I'm overall a grump about e-MTBs, logging massive mileage or overcoming injury sound like excellent use cases for them.

@ABhardtail: I agree. You know I just enter a room and blurt out whatever I think. Sometimes it's just a bit awkward.
  • 6 2
@Longrider: I've squished the goo out of 3 discs now... only 22 years into this world lol I fondly look forward to e-bikes in my later years, hopefully by then they're offering trophy truck suspension cause I'm all out of spine to compress.

@Longrider: word. Riding mtb since ‘89. Herniated discs, sciatica, yadda yadda. My new emtb has me riding and LOVING it again. Ride on.
  • 2 1
@norona: Should fill him in on how many sports you do, and for how long you've been doing them. Not to mention your history in MTB. Funny how the know it alls have no idea about the history of the sport most times. Also maybe we can point out how you do more activities in a day than he does... before he gets out of bed.

@scotteh: that was such a fun course! The more technical the better :p I raced Vanier for the first time this year which is a VERY pedally course and got destroyed lol.

Awesome, what bike (s) will you be on?
  • 2 1
@eebsteez: I have a Spartan HP as my main bike, E-Troy for the occasional self shuttle and I'm in the process of building up a Hatchet for commuting and the odd cyclocross race.
  • 2 0
Sweet! I would have thought that a Troy LTD would have suited your trialsy riding style better.

Rode with Dave and he is a beast!

@Philrattlehead: It would be better for trialsy moves, but my aging body prefers more travel for all the regular MTB stuff these days. That and I really wanted to try a high pivot.

Why the hate on Norona for riding an E-Mtb? The dudes been riding bikes since before electricity was invented.
  • 4 0
Just a joke, but did they choose all their coaches based on height? You could almost put a level across all their noggin's!!!Smile
  • 3 0

Feb. 2023 is where they announced the race team. Unless something has happened, I think he's still with Devinci Global Racing. www.pinkbike.com/u/cyclesdevinci/blog/devinci-global-racing-unveils-2023-plans-and-roster.html
