The last few months on the road have been primarily spent in Colorado with his wife Hannah and their young son. Last weekend he flew out to an event in France and flew in on Tuesday for the WC round here at MSA. At 25 years of age, Mic is no new comer to the race scene, nor has he hit his peak. He had this to say about the course here at MSA "It's feeling good and fast right now and I'm not too worried about if it rains or not. Just put on some mud guards and fire some tear offs on your lenses and it's all good."

soooo..... how does the bike feel exactly?
  • 5 0
like I said to leavenamehere, they feel very good. The techy stuff down the bottom makes it feel very different to what looks like a standard single pivot frame. GT make very nice bikes...

he doesnt sound like the bightest bulb in the box does he!

So is it a single pivot with a floating BB? Sorry if it's a stupid question.
  • 2 0
sorry, i have personaly to see it working, cuz i also still dont get how it works..

the BB hangs down. there is two attachments. one is on the rear swing arm, and the other is on the main frame. its somewhat hard to explain. GT has it all on their website.

so does the bb move with the suspension?

Too bad they're owned by Pacific Cycle, on its way to becoming the owner of the most bike brands in the whole market now that they have Iron Horse as well as Cannondale.
  • 2 1
but pacific cycles do seem to have a habit of getting floundering companis back on track... i mean in the early 00's gts bikes were shocking and now there are getting pretty good again. and they have saved iron horse from folding as well as cannondale

As true as that is, it still means that you will soon be finding Cannondale and Iron Horse bikes in Toys R Us.
  • 1 0
Not gonna happen, they have their own low end bike brand fittingly called pacific.
  • 1 0
On the contrary, see how you can find Mongoose and Schwinn bikes in toy and department stores around the world? It's inevitable for their other brands.
  • 1 0
Why would they crowd their own market with competing brands? Mongoose and schwinn have always made low end bikes, I just don't see a downward trend with those other brands.
