That's what drew me in too! Got the past few World Stage books, and a few others they've produced - well worth it. If you liked Dirt (or even print in general) you'll love these.

@CleanZine: Yeah Im going to get some, I have a huge stack of DIRT. looking at these just about made me cry lmao, better get an EWS one since their wasn't as much coverage this year.

I found my stash of British MTB mags the other day. I had a look through and chucked the MBUKs and STWs, but still have the DIRTS Smile

@inside-plus: I think I've got the 2019, 2020 and 2021 World Stage books and they're great. Awesome photography, some good insights into what really happened, cool layouts/design - just ideal really! Appreciate the postage to Oz is going to be rough but it'll be worth it, I still flick back through them now.

Looking forward to the new one

@MisspentSummers: no worries, thanks for doing what you do!

Yup, I've got the whole lot too. When the mail arrives, I don't think, I just order and it always works out nicely. Not sure what happened to Steve Jones, but Mike Rose moved to Eskapee. Then, from what I understand, Misspent Summers adopted Eskapee so James McKnight now finally gets to boss Mike Rose Wink . Just wondering though, when will Anthology III arrive?

@vinay: Haha! Anthology 3 – one day soon we hope. A few things unfortunately got a bit sidelined during Covid but now we're looking to bring it back. Damian Breach is the founder and genius behind Eskapee Smile We really like this version of events though haha. Alas, Mike Rose still has never made a cup of tea for the office

 An awesome read.

Seriously, can’t we not just have Dirt back so we can read this kind of stuff every month along with reviews you’d actually trust?

Or is it better left as a memory and a collection from a better time?

Buy these and support them and see where it goes. Waiting a year makes it even more special.

Absolutely worth the money, you forget how different sitting down to a mag with a cuppa is. You get transported to where’s and sucked into the whys and the photos look like what mountain bikes feel like. Big love from me.

love the DH books didn't order the world stage this time. somehow there is so much more details and behind the scenes and storys in the DH book. the last world stage felt like a list of race results and times. pictures are scorching as always! looking forward to the hurly burly

Thanks for the feedback! We're redesigning and restructuring The World Stage for next year. But we have to say there's a lot more to TWS5 than just results. Glad to have a host of quality contributors. Hope you come back for the next one. Cheers

@sack-zement @MisspentSummers I agree! I'll still order The World Stage this year, but I definitely feel like last year's edition was more like a series of race summaries than it was the stories/drama/behind the scenes that Hurly Burly featured. Huge fan of Misspent Summers and can't wait to see how the books evolve and improve over the years! Keep up the great work!

@MisspentSummers: sure a friend will buy the TWS where i can flick through. I guess will buy it too afterwards Big Grin

Oh wow, I feel like even these photos of the World Stage book is better coverage of EWS this year than what the organization put out Good job!

No comment but comment: We've also been putting together an anniversary book for the EWS (10 years of the series). It's been an absolute pleasure to look back through a decade of EWS racing photos. Cheers!

Anyone know what these cost to be shipped to the USA? Or do bike shops (or Barnes & Noble for that matter) carry them?
