PRESS RELEASE: Mons Royale

Back in June 2020 Mons Royale and Alice & Brohm dreamt up a recipe for success with a unique collision of merino wool and real fruit ice cream. Thanks to overwhelming support from the Sea to Sky community, 100 T’s were snapped up and $2,500 raised for SORCA.

The mountain town of Squamish, BC serves up over 300 kilometres of singletrack, with that comes a local population of riders that are needing to ensure their carb intake allows them to keep riding.

As it happens, the local population also has a bit of a sweet tooth. Ryan and Jamie from Sunflower Bakery (both avid participants within the Mountain Bike community) recognized this need and coupled it with some inspiration from Homer Simpson to ensure the local riders are well-nourished.

“No matter how great life is, it’s not complete without doughnuts” – Homer Simpson

With their North American HQ based in Squamish, BC the team at Mons are both passionate about the local trail network… and Sunflowers Donuts. Connection with the community and the outdoors is at the heart of what Mons Royale and Sunflower do. They have teamed up to produce a limited edition merino T to continue raising funds to support Squamish's incredible network of trails and the community that’s built around them.

Mons Royale and Sunflower have collaborated with Squamish artist Dominik Kalita to create a limited edition merino T-shirt, and give 20% of all sales back to Squamish’s local trail association; SORCA. The artist’s work is printed on Mons Royale’s Men’s Icon T and women’s Icon Relaxed Tee, a lightweight merino T-shirt designed for a pack less do more lifestyle.
