Welcome to the last race of the 2016 Montana Enduro Series! We’re excited to dip over the border once again and visit Grand Targhee Resort, with help from our friends at Habitat High Altitude Provisions. The series finale features two days of racing, and is a course you don’t want to miss. We made you work for it last round at Big Sky, so we hope you enjoy a little taste of Super D flavor mixed into the last race of the year!

The Grand Enduro Course:

Saturday: Stage 1

Sticks n Stones. The Dreamcatcher lift takes you to the top of Fred’s Mountain, where you’ll start Stage One near the top of the Grand Traverse. Try to keep your eyes on the trail instead of the commanding view of the Grand Teton. Drop into Sticks n Stones, which is an old-school, hand-built festival of rocks and roots that will make you forget you’re in a bike park. The stage ends at the PRT Road.

Transfer: PRT to Peaked

Stage 2

38 Special. Cornering drills will pay off… This stage ends at the cat skiing yurt.

Stage 2 Juniors

Colter’s Escape. Colter’s Escape is a singletrack roller-coaster through aspen stands. This stage ends at the cat skiing yurt.

Transfer: None

Stage 3

Mill Creek. This trail takes you off the resort into the Teton sidecountry, and all the way down to the floor of Teton Canyon. It is an awesome three miles of classic ribbon singletrack with plenty of natural rock and root jump options. The stage ends at the trailhead by the Teton Canyon parking area.

Transfer: Shuttle back to GTR

Sunday: Stage 4

Rock Garden to Otter Slide. The Dreamcatcher lift takes you to Rockgarden, the newest downhill trail at Grand Targhee. Rock Garden starts off rocky, loose and off-camber, and opens up into big tabletops. Continue straight across the service road onto Otter Slide, a bobsled run of beautifully banked turns. Come off the wall ride and the stage ends just before the mustache ride feature.

Transfer: Head up Pika Traverse to Shoshone, and back towards the bottom of Rock Garden. Watch for traffic control.

Stage 5

Chutes and Ladders. This trail is similar to Otter Slide: lots of well-bermed turns, but also includes some other features, such as tabletops. The race ends at the base area.
