This year, Remy spent his third summer in Whistler. Known primarily for his bike park riding, Metailler also showed his diverse range of skills at the Red Bull Rampage while still pumping out numerous edits. The goal of our third project together was to find some new lines and create a video that would make people see the bike park differently. Weather and timing made this our most difficult production yet, but we are really excited about the final product and feel that it is our best piece yet.

 I never saw anyone ride with this amount of speed combined with the big air he gets. I'm pretty sure if I hit one of those jumps with that speed I would get launched into earths orbit.

 @camcoz69 That's the bleed port between negative and positive air chambers.
If it was oil you could hear that same noise on coil shocks, which is not the case.
You can hear the same kind of noise on the CCDBAir.

 @brutalpedz Them how do you explain that the S*toy coil shock makes the exact same noise? I know cause i had them both... And it's a beautiful sound!

 Two possibilities: Bad bleed, there's air in the oil. Or the shaft seal is too tight to be well lubricated, not a real issue because while wearing it will be ok.

 @mr-eric he tried the wc circuit but hes not able to qualify, wc is on another level even if this video is showing how skillez Remy is.

 Because I crashed and had an issue doesn't mean I'm not able to qualify. Bad luck those two weeks, hopefully a bit more luck next time.

 @remymetailler i am not saying you cannot do it, just need to get more experience on the circuit and i am pretty sure you will be up there because you got all it takes, just need experience and practice in races, i hope to see you up there one day, your first rampage was amazing by the way congrats on that and keep up the good work!

 Watching this, all I can think is that Rémy Métailler rides Whistler like he's an extension of the park itself... less like he's choosing a path and more like he's simply tracing the lines the mountain always intended. Endless detail in motion - cheers to all on yet another world-class edit.

 I think comparing a guy like Remy to world cup racers is a bit silly. Racers are a completely different breed of riders. Remy has insane speed and skills, but racers have to maintain a solid pace for 4 minutes, have to find lines that are the perfect mix of fast and not too sketchy, need to get used to the track in about 8 runs,... When Gwin first started on the wc circuit, he said himself he lacked in terms of skills, but he could still get top10s. Fitness and "racecraft" are what makes the difference between a great rider and a great racer.

 yeah for sure. but not everyone is like gwin. a lot of racers are making exact the same riding in their off time. and remy is also competing in races and has good racing skills, too. additional to that he makes extra training, dieting, mx etc. riders like brannigan, macdonald, smith, fairclough, dale, bryceland, altwill, atherton's, atkinson... they all have great hucking and park skills like the frenchman. remy said is was extremly hard to compete in a wc race but he is definitly able to get into racing. their goals just different, but i can imagine that remy would like to race in wc's. sorry for bad english.

 At Windham Troy crashed and finished 6th. Remy is fast, but the top world cup guys are incredible

 Troy has been on the circuit for 5 years and obviously his training last/this year paid off, he was consistently fast and fun to watch. I'm not trying to discredit anybody here. Remy just had a string of bad luck, and that's how racing goes sometimes, he still has the potential to place. He was up on the split times when he fell on the plunge drop this year.
