You can see the distinct difference in filming styles between the US and Europe. I’m bias and happy to admit it. V and team- congratulations on producing the lovely look and feel of this edit.
Arguably the most connection any viewer of these competitors in the contest. I’m not going to be banging out flip whips and as many of the folks here who gob off saying they will (secretly we all know they won’t), but this edit will have the most realistic motivation to get out on the bikes.
If this isn't competing with the men i don't know what would be, did you see how she obliterated the berm at 1:02? Women don't need their own category, big tricks aren't everything
@waldo-jpg: Ima be honest. I dont think it competes on the same level with the other entries. The crankflip nothing, the bermslapping and her awesome laydback style all add up to an amazing video that is in itself worthy of appreciation. But i dont think it compares with what Zink, Brage and the others are doing. But most of all, i would love to see more womens entries, not just one becouse we have to have diversity. F that double moral. Get 5 more women and have them compete at the height of their level. Give them their own platform so they can push that level. Its like Rampage, the gals that wanted to ride that stuff created their own event, Formation, that way they have all the notoriety. Its not about competition of the sexes, its about giving the same opportunities to both. My pov.
@alex-morales: nice to have some honesty in these comments. It’s a joke to say that blasting a few berms and a nothing crankflip put her in contention with any of the other 5 entries - both great to see, but not much more than a young shredder’s day in the bike park... I think the other side of the coin to having her in the comp is great exposure to women’s mtb and the obvious choice should be 5 more women!
This one actually does the best job of showcasing mountain biking. Dingo with the camera doing a silly stance at the end sorta threw me off the vibe but otherwise very cool.
I agree with the bit about the cameraman ruining the shot. I see that more and more in videos these days - filmmakers, you need to choose your shot. Having 4 angles of something isn't great if you have to look at the camerapeople filming all those angles - you have 4 ruined shots, not 4 great angles.
That said... god if I could roost a berm just once like Vero I would die a happy man! Schralp!!
Good video - watched Danny's first and that was cool, then Brandon's and that was the usual polished mind blowing nothing like mountain biking in my head nonsense, this seemed like an attainable (if I was 30 years younger) type of riding and just fun stuff. Vestawhatsits was nuts drops but pretty entertaining to watch.
call it gate-keeping, but this felt the most like MTB'ing. Also, was the edit that was the most difficult to sit through, because it made me the most psyched to get back on my bike! Nothing-to-half-crank-flip. LOL, love it.
This was sick, I missed a lot on my first watch but caught on the second and third. multiple crank flips, and the double suicide were cool. Dong flowed everything to a nice vibe too. Congrats
Would be super rad if X Games did a female category next year, love watching these women absolutely shred would be awesome to see more of it! Also Vero killed this edit hopefully she gets a medal!

Gets my vote for sure.
