PRESS RELEASE: NC-17

Be it the Crankworx FMBA World Slopestyle Championship, Pumptrack, Speed & Style or Red Bull Rampage, Thomas Genon and Tomas Lemoine are at home on two wheels. Season after season, the two European riders prove that they well and truly belong to the elite of the mountain bike and freestyle scene with numerous podiums and tons of style. The two French-speaking Europeans have however also been hard at work behind the scenes and used their expertise to fuel the evolution of NC-17’s legendary Sudpin IV pedals. The result is the brand-new NC-17 Sudpin IV XL TNT Signature edition.

Thanks to years spent at the top of their sport, Thomas and Tomas know exactly what they expect from the perfect flat pedal. Together with NC-17 founder Udo Ochendalski, the two world-class athletes set out to turn their vision into reality. The result of that work are the NC-17 Sudpin IV XL TNT Signature Pedals with their large concave surface of 110x106mm.

The 12 steel pins per side provide a planted feel on the CNC machined 6061 aluminum pedal body and guarantee optimal grip and a safe feeling in all riding situations. Three double-sealed precision bearings per pedal keep the body spinning smoothly on the high-quality CroMo axle and promise lasting reliability even when continuously used in the worst of conditions. With a weight of only 205 grams per Pedal, the 17,7mm thin NC-17 Sudpin IV XL TNT Signature Pedals offer the best compromise of lightweight construction and lasting durability.

“The right mix of perfect grip, low weight and a large platform is especially essential in Slopestyle. The ideal pedal needs to have tons of grip, offer a safe feel but it also has to allow easy foot repositioning. I run the NC-17 Sudpin IV XL TNT Signature Pedals on all my bikes and also used them at Red Bull Rampage last year,” says Tommy G

“It was really cool and fascinating to have been involved in the development of the pedals. The end result reflects Tommy G’s and my own vision of a perfect flat pedal. No matter if I’m riding Pumptrack, Speed&Style, Slopestyle or just cruising in the bike park, I run the TNT Signature Pedals on all my bikes,” adds Tomas Lemoine.

Be it mountain bike tours, Enduro, Downhill, Freeride, 4X, Dirt, Street or BMX, the NC-17 Sudpin IV TNT Signature pedals are true all-rounders and available in six colours. The “NC-17 Fail Safe”-System furthermore provides an extra layer of security by preventing the pedal body from being able to separate from the axle in the extremely unlikely case of a malfunction due to exceptionally high impact forces.

you don‘t always need a stand out feature. keep it simple. those are quality pedals! been on the sudpin 3s-pro for 5 years now. (tried many different out of interest but always went back to nc-17)
switched to the 4s pro some weeks ago (only because i wanted a different color haha)

i notice so many people having issues with their super fancy pedals.
those just work. nothing like bike parts u dont have to worry about.

just compare it to crankbrothers stamp or similar. stamp and brothers are the weakest bullshit ever created for the same price. fancy and weak is not the way to go.

NC-17 Sudpin IV XL TNT Signature Pedals:
Bit wordy of a name isn’t it? Feel like half the words in that press release were the name of the thing.

NC-17 so hardcore!! Jordie Lunn should ride those and Richie Schley could ride the PG-13s

They look sick but the Phillips head on the pins are a deal breaker. I thought I'd see a major rip on that feature in the comments... I'm disappointed.
