Wow these are gonna give TLD some competition!
  • 20 2
What standards does this helmet meet or exceed?
  • 9 4
It has a lot of features, but how safe is it really? Just curious because I'm in the market for a new lid and so far the only helmet that has that information spelled out is the D3.
  • 4 2
yeah, they do look badass (except the chin part)
  • 12 0
@AZRyder found this (eventually) on www.ride100percent.com/mountainbike

"The Aircraft meets ASTM Downhill and BMX standards while
complying with ASTM, CPSC, CE, and AS / NZ bicycle standards."

When are we going to get the MX DH pants with those sick white patches??

With two World Cup podium finishes, 2015 was a breakout season for Colombian DH racer Marcelo Gutierrez. Marcelo is seen here sitting on his Glory Advanced 27.5 bike wearing the 100% DH kit, including jersey, pants, helmet and gloves. Photo by Cameron Baird.

Hi @AZRyder, @kes2903 beat us to it, our Aircraft helmet meets ASTM DownHill and ASTM BMX Standards and complies with ASTM, CPSC, CE, and AS/NZ Bicycle Standards.
  • 11 0
TLD D3's are awesome, but I have a new Aircraft and I assure you it kicks just as much ass.
  • 18 0
I actually prefer the look of the aircraft and the colorways better.
  • 3 2
All the mtb helmet standards are quite antiquated. They don't protect the brain, mostly the skull! I am sticking with 6D, They do make nice goggles though!
  • 4 1
Love the way the chin guard looks like a fish about to eat something.
  • 1 2
 Oh la la...
  • 3 1
 Neon green one ordered today!!!
  • 4 3
I've tried the 2015 Aircraft helmets. They are really light-weight and comfortable to wear.
  • 1 2
It's not about how safe it is, it's about what it looks like. They are all safe enough to be sold for use as bicycle helmets. Just pick the one you like the look of. This one looks fully awesome. That's why it's so expensive!
  • 1 0
Uh huh. Sound theory there bud.
  • 34 0
Loving the whole 'less is more' approach to these helmet designs! As cool as Fox and TLD are, their 2016 helmets are a bit busy for my taste. I think 100% have done a tidy job here.
  • 23 0
Thank you, we appreciate it. We are pretty pumped on those too Smile
  • 7 0
Spot on, I always enjoyed the fit of D3, but their graphics are like dubstep visuals, damn ! This is so much more in tune with the shape and lines of the helmet, just beautiful, congrats @ride100percent that's definitely my next helmet.
  • 2 0
Good to hear @freemanbr, we love those kind of feedback! Any idea which one you are getting?
  • 26 2
"The Aircraft was introduced this past fall, and went on to win the 2015 DH World Championship with Loic Bruni."

I love that writing, like the world championship is contested between helmets, and the Aircraft happened to have Loic attached to it when it won. Smile
  • 23 1
oh man, these must be the best looking helmets on the market. If only they were 1/4 the price I would definitely get one.
  • 5 1
These designs do look solid, but lost me at $400...I am all about spending money when it comes to staying safe, but you can get a D2 for half the price. Not to mention numerous other brands like flyracing that cost $100. Would be nice to see some cheaper, non carbon options.
  • 5 0
Wow, looks like they were pulled outta the F1 paddock! Real nice lines, love the chrome.
  • 2 3
The D2 is a bad helmet though. The ONeal Fury would be something like a D2. TheIr Warp meets the DH standard though Smile
  • 2 1
@FrEeZa what makes the D2 a bad helmet? You're the first person I've heard say that. Sure it's not the lightest helmet out there but is their any difference in protection?
  • 3 1
The fit and finish of the d2 is pretty basic. Even a "budget" helmet like the giro remedy or cipher have better pads and liners.
  • 1 2
I am actually sorry for that comment, turns out the site I looked up did not have all the right information. The D2, turns out, is a great helmet, just that it is pricy compared to the newer helmets with improved materials and visibility, etc.

Please add a trail lid to your lineup!!
  • 14 1
I now know where 100% of my cash is going.
  • 7 1
I love guys who complain about the price of high quality FF helmets. Is $400 way out of line? Your bike is $2500-$7500. Your tires cost $100 ea. Your shoes cost $200. These get roached after 6 months of riding in some cases, even less... I'd like to think we can all agree our heads/brains are worth at least $400 in protection (your cool new "trail/enduro" lid costs $150-200 FFS. Give your head a shake...pun intended.
  • 8 0
 that biturbo white is beautiful
  • 3 1
Nice lid but realy. Look at our new colour way and look how many vents we've added. Why don't you tell us how it's going to protect my head first. Go through the list of abriviations and see what they realy mean. Most of these standards are at least 15 years old. Would you put a fork on your bike that old? Stunning lid but please if your going to sell a lid,and this is aimed at the whole industry prioritise safety first in your shiny press release
  • 3 2
Well it meets all the current helmet standards, and it doesn't have MIPS but the science behind MIPS is iffy at best.
  • 1 0
Just add a matte black one to each of your product line !
  • 1 0
@GXMV we already have a RAW Carbon black in the line - www.ride100percent.com/mountainbike/helmets/#aircraft--raw-black
  • 1 0
 Enjoy!
  • 8 2
This helmet will make me look so badass when i rail all the blue runs!
  • 3 0
 That's the spirit!
  • 5 3
Finally full face helmets that don't look like complete shit. TLD is just tacky and tasteless. I don't know if it's just me, but I don't get why do people rave so much about them...
  • 4 1
I just love these guys. That silver, orange and black helmet is just nutty goodness!
  • 2 0
shit damn...... this is the most beautiful helmet on the market.. over the freaking ugly tld...
  • 4 1
 That top helmet. Hot damn!
  • 3 0
aircraft - far and away the sickest helmet out on the market today.
  • 1 0
 "Clap Clap!" Thanks Kyle.
  • 3 1
"spring collection" I really like the sound of that !
  • 1 2
How true to size do these fit? I too am currently running a TLD D3.....wondering if i should order the same size in the aircraft helmet? I have a tiny head, lol, so I wear a small d3
  • 2 1
Hi @jut8, best is to use our size chart: www.ride100percent.com/size-charts
  • 1 1
Are these wide like a TLD or narrow like a FOX?
  • 1 0
As said above @Travel66, please refer to our chart.
  • 1 2
 @ride100percent
Your size chart isn't helpful in understanding the shape of your helmets. Some of us have narrower heads and fox fits well, some have wider heads and TLD fits those well. It would be good to get a steer on how yours fit.....
  • 2 0
@Travel66 I had a Giro Remedy in a medium so I bought the Aircraft in a medium. I was always concerned that my Remedy, although tight around my forehead, the cheek pads barely toughed my cheeks. The Aircraft is the same fit around my forehead but is super tight against my cheeks, which feels great. I believe I have quite a round head. (although you can buy different thickness cheek pads separately to get a proper custom fit). Hope this helps.
  • 1 0
 Cheers @stevocxt
That's really helpful....maybe 100% should give you a job!

Those GIRO come up big!
  • 1 0
@Travel66: Our size guide is a first indication and the closest we can get to help people figure out sizes. Head shape can be so different from one to another and nothing is better than going into a shop and trying it yourself. Let us know how it fits when you get a chance to try it on.
  • 2 1
Luic would have won with a 5 gallon bucket on his head! Nice looking lids though!
  • 2 0
Is that orange/silver/black combo in the first picture available?
  • 1 0
Yes, R8 Chrome Orange is the exact model.
  • 1 0
with me smashing 2 lids a year, I would go bankrupt. But they look soooooo f*cking good! Good job 100%!
  • 1 0
it would be nice if we could see an all mountain helmet .......
  • 1 0
Why can't I find review anywhere?
  • 3 2
Will the old colour ways be restocked on the website?
  • 4 2
Yes all colors are back in stock. If your size isn't available on the website please check your local dealer.
  • 1 1
Medium chrome orange is already out of stock ;(
  • 2 2
We have just checked and yes you are right, the Medium is already gone. It will be available at a dealer near you though.
  • 2 1
I don't have dealer near me Frown
  • 3 2
We talked to our canadian distributor and shops in Kelowna carry 100%. They do not have the helmet in stock at the moment (late spring at Skyride in Vernon) but if you know what you want they will be able to order it for you.
  • 2 1
I have a feeling it may be hard to find a Medium Orange Chrome for a while. Of course, that's the one I want.
  • 1 1
 Thanks guys!
  • 2 1
I have the bi-turbo red one love it!!
  • 2 1
Same here! Although that twinblaze Chrome is making me want to order another helmet
  • 1 0
Dump the visor and shave a tenth of a second off your run!
  • 1 0
Pretty dead sexy stuff. Any chance they'd fit my 10 yr old girl? Wink
  • 1 1
Where can I purchase this red and white and silver one ?
  • 1 1
It's available now on ride100percent.com/aircraft and at selected dealers worldwide.
  • 1 1
Where can I purchase the two blaze chrome helmet in lg/XL?
  • 1 2
It looks like a bell full 9, a specialized dissident, and a fox rampage had a helmet baby
  • 2 1
 Helmet porn.
  • 2 1
 Weight
  • 4 1
Hi @luis-beri, the Aircraft helmet weighs between 1025 to 1075g depends on sizes.
  • 3 1
 That's really light.
  • 1 0
Thank you, didnt expect an answer. Cheers
  • 1 1
loic's lid not missing a bit of colour?
  • 2 2
I love my 100% gloves, and these helmets look awesome but still no MIPS?
  • 1 1
 Not at this time yet.
  • 1 0
 100% on point
  • 1 0
 Color... not my taste
  • 4 5
WTF is this 'spring collection'....this ain't fashion clothing.
  • 1 0
 Looks pretty fashionable to me...
  • 1 0
But I'm sure they will be just as fashionable come Summer, Autumn and Winter!
  • 1 2
Only 1 visor . The helmets fee as flimsier than a carbon D2
  • 2 5
 No mips = no care.
  • 3 1
MIPS is not a "protect-all" savior of the brain. It just helps to prevent brain injury. It doesn't mean it still can't happen. MIPS is for the twisting of the helmet, not the impact.
