News: FlyUp 417 Project - Opening Date Announced
To end the speculation and rumours, FlyUp 417 Project have announced the official opening date for the park... Monday 14th March 2016. Keep your eyes peeled for your opportunity to book in your ride at the 417 Project once the booking calendar goes live towards the end of 2015.
ABOUT FLYUP 417 PROJECT
Located just outside Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, Flyup own 100 acres of private land, making it the biggest privately owned mountain bike facility in the country to date. The park will be home to three downhill tracks from blue to red/black grade, and supported by the FlyUp uplift service. The park will also have a national-level 4X track and Dual Slalom run, which will be supported by the country’s first MTB Drag Lift service. If that's not enough the park will also feature a jump bag, freeride area and one acre dirt jump arena. For those seemingly more frequent rainy British days and dark winter nights, the 417 Project have two separate indoor riding barns totalling over 1100 square metres. They'll also be a café, bike shop and workshop on site.
 | We are super excited to announce that we can finally give you the news you have all been waiting for... the 417 Project will officially be opening its gates for business on 14th March 2016. We were desperately hoping to open this year, but sadly due to numerous factors this will just not be possible. We know everyone - including us - is eager for the 417 Project to open but thanks to the worst August on record, the rain has hindered the track building massively. We had days where Architrail - even with their best efforts - just couldn't get the diggers on the hillside. Good old British summer! We want things to be at their best for you all when you come to ride and with the estimated completion date for the tracks now being smack bang in winter, opening in the Spring will give the tracks time to settle ready for you all to enjoy properly. On top of this we have a few exciting things things in the pipeline which will add so much to our facility but have equally added to the timescales although we can't say much at this stage. All customers that pre-purchased their passes through the Indigogo campaign will be contacted separately to make your booking, and those with the 'exclusive access tickets' will receive their date options in the next few weeks. And finally, make sure you keep your eyes peeled for details of our Launch Party. We will have a limited amount of tickets up for grabs, and you won't want to miss out. A) because it's a 10 minute ride away from my house, and it's all about me of course and
B) as much as people say that we need to be returning to natural tracks, we actually have a fair bit of that in the locals around here and even many of the trsil centres lack big berms and flowy jumps.
along same lines, if u ever comin up Gisburn / Cockhills, gimme a shout if u ever short of company
I plan to go 417 regular, wouldn't be out of reach to ride 417 every week in theory...BPW is a whole other story not managed to get there yet...I'm probably taking 8 hour round trip with loading, unloading etc!

A FlyUp 417 Project in the Leeds area would go down a storm,. Instead I have to drive at least 60+ miles to places like Dalby, Gisburn, Lee Quarry, Whinlatter or even further away to Wales or Scotland, Would love something a bit more 'on the doorstep' .
More places to ride is always good.
Who wants to build stuff up north?? It's grim up there.
