We’re proud to have an all-star crew of ambassadors this year. They come from all over North America, from a variety of backgrounds. They are high-performance athletes, trail builders, community leaders, coaches and of course shredders on two wheels. It was an honor and privilege to spend the weekend with such a fine group of people!

NOBL 2017 Family Gathering

A NOBL Family event checks all the boxes of a good weekend trip. Bikes. Good food. Beer. Campfires and camaraderie.

After some running around town, we were stocked up with more than enough food to feed the 15 or so riders who would be ravenous after a long day on the bike. We loaded up on grill items from Rempel’s Meats, one of the Valley’s classic go to’s for barbecue fare. Old Yale Brewing, based out of the heart of the Fraser Valley came through big and ensured that our beer cooler was brimming with an assortment of ales, lagers and IPA’s. These guys have a long history of supporting mountain bike events in the valley.

The rain clouds stayed away for the duration of the weekend -a good omen in what has been the rainiest spring in decades.

NOBL 2017 Family Gathering

Saturday morning started the way every big ride day should start. A big community breakfast with all the fixings. Bacon, farmer sausage, eggs, hashbrowns and of course tons of coffee. After some prep time, it was off to Tamihi for some social shredding. We could explain it in words...but we’ll let the video tell the story.

Thanks to Old Yale Brewing for ensuring we were well hydrated, BCPov for lending some of his footage from the weekend and of course all of the trail builders and volunteers who create such incredible trails for us to enjoy!

looks like a great time and some awesome riding but the editing and cuts were super-distracting. Please give my eyes enough time to focus on *something*

We had a group ride open to all of our riders on Sunday! We posted it on our Facebook page. The Saturday was reserved for our ambassadors and team riders. We are due for another customer ride though Smile Are you based in the Valley?

@jaydawg69 Are you saying Light Bicycle makes the Nobl wheels who then just rebrands them? Same darn wheels, just a different sticker? Thanks

I think it,s more like they produce Nobl rims too Nobl specs , much like any other company does who produces for more than one company besides their own .

@cheetamike: Thanks! I have been looking at carbon wheels, but they're (obviously) so expensive I haven't pulled the trigger on any.... Cheaper alternatives, of equal quality, are always interesting.

@cky78: LB manufacturers NOBL... not that much of a secret.

 Light Bicycle make great stuff!

@jaydawg69: Hahah this^^^^ the secret is out. Don't waste money on expensive stickers!

@jaydawg69: They do, that's why we chose to partner with them to distribute their brand in North America. We have a Canadian and an American wheel building warehouse where we build their wheels and sell their rims.

Light Bicycle has a vast product line and the resources to develop fatbike, road, CX, and mtb products. We built NOBL Wheels to develop our own high end mountain bike products that were tailored for the way we ride here in BC. We've spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on R&D on our products and will continue to re-invest in their continual development. The TR38 rim for example has had 4 mold changes as of this January and more than a dozen layup changes over the years. If we didn't spend so much on development, maybe we'd have money for some fancier videos and marketing spiels about the latest and greatest development of our first beloved rim. But instead we quietly keep improving our rims and wheel system and release advancements as soon as they are available.

@NOBLwheels: Hey Nobl Wheels! I for one liked your video and thought "Wow, that looks like a fun time" after watching it. I have just recently been introduced to your brand and have heard nothing but great things. My buddy has your wheels (29er Nobl36 I believe?) and loves them. I even came to your site to research them after hearing one glowing review after another. As for my comments above enquiring who makes the wheels you sell, for me it was/is more of a point of interest as the carbon wheel game is still slightly our of reach for both my cost and riding needs. Maybe one day soon though! Keep shredding boys!

@NOBLwheels: It doesn't matter to me if you guys are partnered / under the same ownership of lightbicycle - I am happy to have someone ob the continent that I can hand my broken sh!t to!
