Hot Wheels Ladies Enduro Sessions Start This Week in North VancouverIn response to the overwhelming support we received after the publication of
Where Have All the Ladies Gone, our team of female coaches took it upon themselves to create a program that would help more women get into racing.
The idea: 3 sessions taught by 3 ex-racers (
Kelli Sherbinin, Cynthia Young and Isabelle Jacques) over the course of 3 months.
The goal: to get women ready to rumble for the
NSMBA Fivers.
"
Getting more women on mountain bikes is dear to us at Endless Biking and we found that training for the NSMBA Fivers was the perfect excuse to do so,” says
Kelli Sherbinin, co-owner of Endless Biking and BC Bike race 2010 winner.
“
We loved the idea of getting women to pre-ride together prior to the NSMBA toonies last year, but the general consensus was that more organization was needed. That’s why we came up with a structured program taught by professional mountain bike instructors," says
Cynthia Young, winner of the first BC Bike Race and former XC World Cup racer.
The focus of the Hot Wheels Ladies Enduro Sessions will be to help women improve their skills and "
ride that race line” in a fun and inclusive environment.
There is still time to
register for the program which starts this Thursday. Sign-up today if you’re keen to build your skills, confidence and fun factor with like-minded women!
Program Dates:
Thursday April 23, May 7 and June from 6 to 8 pm.
Pricing: $89 for a total of 6 hours of coaching.
