Do full bikes generate much interest?

can someone explain to me how this works? do u have to pay

You have to pay $2 for each item you're trying to sell, but if you sell an item for $100, then NSMBA keeps $15. If you sell an item for $200, then NSMBA keeps $30, and so on, and so forth.

 okay thanks

With a cap of $200, so if you sell an item for $1333 the NSMBA keeps $200, if you sell a bike for $2000 the NSMBA keeps $200 etc.

15%? Sounds pretty steep! Why not just use Kijiji or the MEC bike fest? Oh well, I suppose you could look at it as a donation going to a good cause.

@bishopsmike 15% is the gross amount. Once you back out credit card processing and terminal fees, facilities rental fees, content insurance, liability insurance, equipment rentals and over-night security, the NSMBA gets approximately 7%.

This is our biggest annual fundraiser, and it allows people to get rid of their old gear and others to get into the sport.

Fair enough! I didn't know that things like credit card terminals and security were provided. Sounds like a bit of a bigger show than your average bike swap. It should be advertised as your biggest fundraiser!

That is the idea! It's not money out of your pocket and it goes to trails! Win-win!
