Stevens Pass Bike Park will host the 5th stop of the NW Cup this coming weekend under sunny skies and plenty of heated series points battles. It's been an awesome season with two huge races in Port Angeles, the punishment of Skibowl/Mt. Hood, and the first ever conjunction with the Dunbar Summer Series at Silver Star Bike Park. The 6th and final race of the series will land back at Dry Hill in Port Angeles WA where everything will get settled.

Stevens Pass has a couple of new trails since last year to keep you busy when you're taking a break from your respective race tracks with PBR for some airtime and Golden Spike/Morooka Motion, the new green trail. The Bike Park will still be open to the public all weekend, so this might be a good opportunity to bring spouses, kids or friends up to ride and cheer you on come race day.

Category 3 racers will rip Lichen It to Lovin It, while everyone else will shred the legendary Slingshot Wookie trail. There are a quite a few things going on this weekend, so be sure to check out the NW Cup Facebook page for updates.

Rained a little last night and late day yesterday! Trails are tacky brownPow! The base area is currently filling up with vendors and racers filtering in for Sat practice runs! Grab your DH bikes and Friends for an exciting race weekend in the sun! Braaaap!

I am loving Stevens Pass this year! Having the P.B.R. jump trail and new easy trail really rounds out the entire trail network. It takes me 2.5 hours to get there, but I have been going nearly every weekend. Super fun place, with small crowds and superb scenery while on the lift. BTW, Slingshot Wookie is gnar-balls-deep in some places, it eats 200mm of travel for breakfast!

For sure! I'm still trying to figure out parts of the middle rocky section. It seems to change every time I ride it! Aside from that one straightaway near the bottom before the last set of berms, Rock Crusher is so fast and flowy - no pedaling required.

The new trails made a huge improvement up there, definitely well worth the drive and cash now.

They've also tuned-up the existing trails as well. If they maintain their pace, there's going to be a LOT of sweet trails within a few years. So far, it's been worth every penny I've spent there in the few years they've been running.

Gutted I won't be there this weekend. Threw my back out last weekend and need to rest it up. I'll have to wait until next season to get redemption from last year's race...dammit!! Tear it up and keep it upright, all!!!
