Assorted Oddities - Eurobike 2021

What do the moon landing and bike strollers have in common? Obviously this company.

If you can't spot it, there's a tiny rearview mirror in these glasses.

Mario Kart meets Akira.

Trying for a greener e-bike carbon footprint?

Coming to you straight from 3D-printer hell.

This is actually neat. I enjoy time travelling.

To snow ...
... and sea ...

... or land and sea at the same time.

American Chopper calling. Apparently, this was a collab with Paul Jr. - I wonder how much they were fighting during the design process.
Just for you RC.

This style of bike was all over the show. Super73 alone has plenty of them. I can appreciate the retro Kremer Porsche 934 RSR paint scheme.

More retro paint schemes.

I can sort of see the usefulness of this in an urban environment.
Also a Revonte motor hidden in there ... or so I think.

This Coleen with vertically mounted Pinion gear box got a Eurobike award. I would have liked to see a cable connecting the steer tube area and bottom bracket, just for old time's sake.
When one display just isn't enough.

Make sure to wear the appropriate helmets for all of these. This one is for e-bikes ...
... that one for regular bikes. Again, I actually kind of like the retro look.

Also fits your downhill bike.
Leather much?

Time for a mental coffee break.

Only enough room for one fire extinguisher? I'm out.

Our new bike comes with a high capacity battery and fire extinguisher mount... why? ... No reason...

The Zefal mudguard is pretty good once you manage to mount it right. I use it on my old school geometry enduro converted to urban commuter (150mm of travel are awesome for potholes and sidewalk border).
They could try to add an easy way to remove it.

Things like the Revonte and last one will probably become the norm is big cities forbidden to cars, for the last kilometer delivery.

@GT-CORRADO: I bought a bamboo fatbike for when I used to do a lot of winter riding in deep snow. Absolutely awesome bike, hard as nails. Made an awesome commuter cruiser when I moved somewhere a little bit warmer.

Clearly they felt they had to panda to the needs of a certain audience…..

I’ll see myself out.

 @Mfro: that was good Smile

That vertically mounted Pinion looks quite clean, I wonder if it would work well with suspension pivots wanting to take up the same sort of area.

Every JR high kid in my town seems to have a Super 73... my son hates them...lol. He loves his 2015 Carbine.

I kinda dig the On Any Sunday helmet.

There is no way that woman in the 3D printed bike picture rides e-bikes. Look at those calves!

Ah yes PUCH, when mopeds were mopeds.

Why the knock off Thule Chariot? and why bother with a pedal powered snowmachine?... that thing will be worthless...so slow...just get a fatbike, skis, or a real snowmachine.

American Chopper brought back memories. I just hope Mikey played a part in the creation for no arguments sake.

I'd actually totally buy that Ruff Cycles RC Chopper bike to cruise around on.

Question is : can you actually open a beer with those glasses?
  • 1 0
Revonte hearse. Alpha, beta, gamma, delta
  • 1 0
I think UPS uses those in Ireland.

@sngltrkmnd: Much better for 'final mile' deliveries than a van. Plenty of studies show that's an effective way to reduce carbon emissions and imprivr air quality in urban areas.
  • 2 0
 So much wasted effort
  • 1 0
 Was that news from EurEbike?
  • 1 0
The bamboo bike has it's own sphincter
