What to do when the lift is not running? Days like these, only Mum can help you out! Because of low visitor numbers, the
Bikepark in Hafjell had to switch into eco mode since last year and opens its doors only from Thursday to Sunday. After the Worldcups of 2012, 2013, and the World Championships 2014, this was hard news. But next year everything will be better again!
Hafjell has more to offer than tracks build for heavy-duty tires. Various museums, a bobsleigh run and especially beautiful nature, which can be explored on foot, climbing and rafting. But we always prefer to conquer Mother Nature on our bike. This is why only Mummy, who cares for her boys from start to finish, can help out when the lift is not running!
The Park isn’t called Europe’s Whistler for nothing, thanks to the numerous and varied tracks everybody will find their favorite!
You can find natural trails such as the 1, which bears the name NM Loypa, starting at the top and meandering through roots and rocks to the start of the World Cup Track. Here you will earn pure downhill feeling.
The 2, Buldre Loypa is a machine-built Freeridetrail combined with natural elements. An ideal blend, that includes well-built jumps and other elements like this Wallride.
The 3, Gress Loyal is more of a singletrack, completely natural. You have to select your lines wisely to keep speed and flow.
In addition to these 3 trails, there are still 10 more tracks to enjoy, each with their own character.
Let’s hope that for next year, the Bikepark Hafjell will be able to open its doors throughout the whole season.
