Can we get a uk/Europe one too please
  • 25 1
Not sure that Norco Range price is accurate... either that or I don’t have the 70% discount code...
  • 4 0
Yeah I almost jumped on that! Untill I went to the site and saw it didn't check out. My partner did get a wicked good deal on a hightower there though. A good site to watch. I guess there must have been a software issue or whatever in this article.

 "Range C 29 Fox Suspension/Parts Kit Build"

Oops did we say $2500? I meant $6000! But now that you're here...
  • 7 0
$2500 off is how it should read. I fell for the trap too
  • 6 0
that shop is known to be sketchy...would never shop there ever again
  • 2 0
@goflowz: I would shop there again, I have bought a few bikes at CC. I think it's a typo and likely to be fixed in a bit.
  • 3 0
@husstler: if i have told you my experience some years back, you would question their integrity too

Is anyone on here a lawyer? I believe if you advertise a price you have to honor it. Maybe they argue the link malfunctioned or something but... the posting here on PB has their company name on it and if they gave PB permission to post it I would think it is an official ad and they have to sell for that price.

An interesting legal issue I feel.
  • 9 0
@davevdw: all you have to do is pay $20,000 in legal fees and you could save $6000 on a bike what a steal!
  • 2 0
@davevdw: it’s not a bait and hook lawsuit. If they had this on their store front/ or advertised on their website. Or if it was on multiple sites listed the same way then you would have something. Also I don’t know the laws in Canada so I could be wrong
  • 3 6
@Krzymndyd: Yeah I don't think anyone would pursue it too far, just an interesting issue. Seems like a ploy to get people to visit their site, claim it was a mistake. Not the way I would do business.
  • 4 0
@davevdw: you know it's Pinkbike that writes this page, right?
  • 2 5
@bishopsmike: Yes. But they get the info from the vendor. As a business you are responsible for all communications.
  • 1 0
@davevdw: I thought a business can refuse to sell to any they choose !
  • 3 2
@Matt115lamb: Lol yeah no at least not in the usa... social justice would have their innards for breakfast
  • 3 0
It is an incredibly common misconception that businesses must honor posted prices. In fact its one I grew up with so I looked it up one day. The legal term is invitation to treat in Canada, invitation to bargain in the usa. The law looks at the advertised or sticker price as an invitation to begin bargaining. It is not a legal contract. Obviously many business will honor a misadvertised price so its always worth a shot, but they are not legally required to honor it.
  • 2 0
@friendlyfoe: I didn't know that. Thanks for the insight!
  • 15 0
So that SLX build Evil was $6800??? There’s no way it was originally that much. None of these things look like much of a “sale.”
  • 8 0
This is how Black Friday works: either bump up the prices incrementally beforehand, then drop them. Or create whole product lines especially for outlets that are of inferior quality.
  • 6 0
@wowbagger: A long time ago Black Friday actually had some good deals. It was usually just 1 day and first come first serve deals on the odd thing. I agree with you, now it is usually lame deals or silly sales tactics. Most of it is hype to try and get people to feel like they are missing out if they don't buy something.
  • 1 0
 @wowbagger: #calgarycycle
  • 9 0
Ummm...probably because it's not sponsored content...but 9point8.ca is having a 40% off sale on pretty much everything other than their SlackR headset. Grab an amazing dropper post for 40% off. At least 3 of my buddies ordered when the code went live last night.
  • 2 0
I bought one for %40 at Crankworx a few years back and I've had it ever since. Excellent post, just make sure to lube the lock nut periodically.
  • 2 0
 @Tmackstab: always lube your nuts
  • 2 0
@j-t-g: and the actual post for smooth insertion
  • 1 0
Brings it down into the price range of posts I've actually been looking at buying, lol. Very tempting!
  • 11 0
Pretty sure the only thing in my price range is the free look at Calgary cycle.

I put the Range on for 2500$; then said, "nah tricked" 5999$. Because I am an evil genius. It comes with the territory. I don't like to sell things for good prices, and, "trickin' is truckin' " as they say. I'm probably doing it to troll hard, and I might actually be a legitimate evil genius, but nobody knows at these prices, nor wants to find out.
  • 14 0
 @Kramz: go home you're drunk.
  • 1 0
i have been stocking up on hard candy
  • 8 0
This looks like a list of aging inventory they can't sell. Sadly that also appears to include sets of 27.5" wheels! Those are a good deal for someone on the cool wheel size.
  • 7 0
WTF does a kid need an EEEEEEE bike for? are they paralyzed and unable to pedal?
....and the price.... I quit
  • 6 0
 What the.... ?! A $3k hardtail e-bike for kids?
  • 4 1
Motors battery’s and material don’t cost less because it’s for kids
  • 21 2
Little fat kids deserve nice things too.
  • 7 2
@stoo61: dentist's kid inexplicably gains weight despite love of cycling and ban on sugar in the house
  • 1 1
@toad321: I was considering one of those for my kid. Might make sense if it were a tiny motor (maybe 50w) and a tiny battery. Then, it could also cost less. Kids aren't that heavy.
  • 1 0
 Incontinently rich
  • 3 0
@toad321: Didn't say it did. Though as a kids bike, and a hardtail, it's using less material than larger more complicated bikes. The point is, it's supposed to be a kid's bike... But it's really heavy, really expensive, and really unnecessary.
  • 2 0
The $77 CDN 29 Assegai DH casing MaxxGrip with only GST and free shipping was enough of a deal for me in BC to pull the trigger on a pair. I’m curious if MaxxGrip and more supportive sidewall (run lower psi) offset the extra rotating mass.
  • 4 0
No deals to be had. They marked everything up 40% then said it's 25% off...
  • 3 0
Those Nukeproof hzn v2 wheels are a steal! One of my favorite budget wheelsets.
  • 3 0
This looks 30% less Intense than the other “deals” posts
  • 1 0
So the best deals are for tires. Forget about everything else, unless of course you're in the market for an expensive bike, I suppose there were some good deals there too.
  • 2 0
Those nukeproof wheels are a deal, 106 POI, solid rims and inserts!
  • 2 0
They ride really nice too. I've really enjoyed mine.
  • 2 0
@hardtailparty: I'd imagine on a HT you've given the rear some abuse. Any issues and how much use?
  • 1 0
@heatproofgenie: no issues yet. I made a yr video with my thoughts on them
  • 3 0
 Is Evil the new Intense?
  • 2 0
Demo from Specialized is 40% off in the US.
  • 2 0
Box components 30% off. Hayes & Manitou 20% off.
  • 2 2
The prices are fair. I just don't make enough money. Should've been a dentist
  • 1 0
That Heckler would sure be nice...
  • 1 0
Non dentist pricing on tape, valves and bleed kits at Hold Fast Cycling
  • 1 1
 No intense bikes? Lol
