 I personally don't dig companies that over-inflate the 'MSRP' on sale products in order to create false value.
CR is the biggest offender in the MTB world IMO.
FWIW, Mallet DH's list(right on Crankbro's site) for $169, NOT $204. And the ones on CB's website are obviously current product, NOT leftover 2015/16's that CR was able to buy for pennies on the dollar because they've been sitting in a warehouse for 2 years

 Careful with Chain Reaction if it looks too good to be true it might be. I recently ordered some carbon handlebars that were a good deal and they sent me aluminum ones in a completely different colour, then they mysteriously went 'out of stock'. Now all I can do is return them and I'm out the duties and shipping I paid to get them here (they offered to pay to ship them back).

 I ordered the nuke proof horizon carbon bars from chain reaction. Cost me just over $100 they arrived earlier than I expected and they preformed better than the Santa Cruz carbon bars and the race face six C carbon. I highly recommend them. Best carbon bar deal out there.

 @blueninja that doesn't really sound like chainreaction to me. That being said, I doubt they'll help you all if you raise a complaint. They aren't exactly REI in the customer service area.

 Hey blue ninja don't suppose you ordered the easton haven carbon bars. They did the same to me and sent blue aluminium ones and then said the same thing, out of stock ! I think since they merged with wiggle they have really gone downhill.

 about 4 or 5 years ago, I ordered a pair of shorts from CRC, and they sent me the female version. I didn't get reimbursed for shipping them back.

 Why when you click the link for the 2017 FOX DHX2 REAR SHOCK from Dunbar does it show the shock for $743.95 CAD and not $648.95 at advertised on this site?

 @urinalmint: That is why I use a cross boarder pick-up/shipping service! For something like the DHX2, it would cost $5 if you could pick it up, $20-30 if you needed said service to ship to you. You should check one out. They give you an America address, you ship it there, they truck it over the boarder and then you make arrangements to pick it up or have it shipped to you. I've used this for Jenson orders many times when manufacturers have shipping restrictions, or when somewhere might have free shipping in the USA but expensive shipping to Canada.

 @Timo82: most bike parts aren't subject to duty. Only to whatever tax you pay in the province.
They exception to that - complete bikes, frames, and assembled wheels.
Nearly all other parts should be tax only and duty free.

I can't answer that for bsure. I know you will pay a pretty penny for duty on complete bikes, and a little less for frames, but you will still pay duty. And tax of course. I have a feeling it doesn't matter if it's American made....but I could be wrong. Those are so few however - American made bikes! Jenson is actually a good place to buy complete bike however, or frame or wheels, as they are set up to charges tax on the sale, and you won't get dinged with that duty like you would of the customs was brokered at the boarder.

Yeah I actually looked on Jenson for a Banshee or Knolly and it was a good ''at your door price''!!

I have heard this also - imports from America being duty free. If it's the case, and you end up being charged then you can contest that and get your money back fairly easily, but it takes a while. Just make sure you have some support for that. There is a duty and Customs act, I would have a read of that. I know there is a section on bikes, but never did see anything on origin of the product. You will see this applied on other good, like fashion for example, pretty frequently.
