Kind of bad that the best thing and that I’m most interested in is an umbrella

I swear once you order something from EVO be prepared to receive 5689067 emails a day from them....

I often see one of several German online bike retailers promoted on PB - can anyone speak to the prices / delivery time / experience ordering from Canada? Chain reaction & Jenson have both gotten slower, more expensive and won't ship what I need out of country (or don't stock it) - specifically Rockshox suspension parts from Jenson and shimano from Chain Reaction.

Bike24 was pretty good, though their website is trash. Took about 2/3 weeks.

 Bikemailorder is pretty good.
  • 1 0
@mgrantorser: I love their website. So many filters, I just hate you can't combine two or more of them in the same category.

I ordered from bike24 and it shipped July 27th, and got it August 10th (or 10 business days), which was alright. Merlin Cycles took 4 weeks which was insane.

bike discount in Germany was 4-5 weeks last summer when shipping was normal. they don't have Canada on their drop down list anymore but they do say to contact them if you are interested in buying and your country is not on the list. I did save a fair bit of money compared to Jenson but now you can't buy sram or shimano parts.
  • 1 0
@JayUpNorth: You can't buy Sram from Jenson anymore from Canada either.

Put in a order with bike24 August 27th, just got it today. 50cad per tire, shipping was 30cad. So basically the cost of buying one tire at a bike shop, no duty/brokerage fee or tax. Was shipped DHL from Germany but was delivered Canada Post. Will be using them again in the future.
  • 1 0
@nickkozak: Yeah, their tire prices are amazing. I also didn't get hit with duties or taxes. They're even better if you can group an order together with friends to split the shipping bill.

You do know. There is this thing called the internet where you can find more deals. Maybe even something that you want or need.

Calgary Cycles clearly are one of the 3 people in the world that didn't get the scoop on the new Slash. Sorry guys. Hope you shift that stock.

Esker Elkat is a great bike.... but 5600 for a NX build as the starting point? That "30% discount" smells fishy to me. That build looks like it should start at 4k, not be 4k AFTER a 30% deal. On eskers own site, their GX and XT builds cost 4999. Jenson charges 10% more than Esker does, for worse components? Maybe a symptom of our current bike shortage I guess.

Lacking a bit of Intensity. But hey we gained a Ellsworth look alike!

I hit Ctrl-F to find the camel toe jokes. Nothing. PB disappoint.

Hey Yeti, Why not take it one step further and list your geometry in ft.
  • 1 0
Why no Trailforks Pro? It's on sale!
