Oregon Enduro Series Opens 2015 Registration

The Oregon Enduro Series (OES), presented by Santa Cruz Bicycles and Bell Helmets, is proud to be the longest running enduro series in North America. OES is excited to confirm their 2015 schedule and open registration on March 18th. The Oregon Enduro Series will host two North American Enduro Tour races including the Finals at Mt Hood on September 12th and 13th.

The Oregon Enduro races start off in “Mountain Bike Town USA”, Bend, Oregon, with a variety of fun physical trails. Race two is also the second race on this year’s North American Enduro Tour hosted in Hood River alongside the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. The new race venue on the schedule this year is in and out of Mt Bachelor’s new Bike Park and is part of a three-day mountain bike festival being held at this exciting new, mountain bike destination.

The Oregon Enduro Finals are also the North American Enduro Tour Finals hosted at the famous Mt Hood. The trails surrounding Mt Hood encompass a variety of the best that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. The mix of technical and physical trails at Sandy Ridge, Timberline and SkiBowl are a great way to end the season and crown the 2015 Oregon Enduro and North American Enduro Tour champions at the birth place of Enduro in North America: Oregon.

2015 Schedule:
#1) June 6th & 7th - Bend
#2) June 20th & 21st - Hood River
(NAET)
#3) August 22nd & 23rd - Mt Bachelor
#4) September 12th &13th - Mt Hood - Finals

Over the past four years, the Oregon Enduro Series has been a pivotal part of growing the sport of enduro in North America. The Oregon Series has invested years developing their timing system that provides instant, accurate (within a thousandth of a second), and live results on monitors at the finish of every stage as well as live accumulated times at the base area. OES is proud to be part of the founding group of the North American Enduro Tour and associated with the creation of the film The Rise of Enduro, the first feature documentary film about the sport of Enduro Mountain Bike Racing.

Oregon Enduro Series is honored to work with respected companies in the industry that support mountain bikers, share their love for the sport, and strive to perfect mountain bike products. Santa Cruz has been inspiring mountain bikers from the beginning and makes top of the line bikes for any style of mountain biking. Bell Helmets has been keeping OES safe and looking good with their enduro helmet, the Super, and now with the Super 2R designed by enduro athletes for the needs of today's enduro-style aggressive riding. OES's love for the enduro format is also supported by Shimano, E13/The Hive, Ergon, Clif Bar, Yakima, Fly Racing,Thump Coffee, Pinkbike, and many more great companies that love mountain biking.

Registration opens March 18th at www.OregonEnduro.com.

Conflicting schedule dates. Nw cup has been out for months. 3 of these races fall on nw cup dates. Lame.

It's like they tried to do that!?

Kind of unfortunate. We all usually try to work together as early as Nov/Dec to make it work best for promoters and riders. Obviously this didn't happen in this situation.

I noticed this, then compared schedules for CDC, BC Enduro, Cali Enduro, and NAET, and don't see a way how they could hypothetically change their schedule and not also conflict with any of those series, or run races on back to back weekends which is logistically damn near impossible. NAET races are locked in way in advance too, and I would wager that if you are working with NAET they aren't super cool with you conflicting with any of their other stops. Heavy saturation of races this year and last, guessing the enduro bubble may be bursting in a year or so here and well see promoters stepping back a bit. Bummer either way as NW Cup and OES both put on killer races. Choices!

Yup, jmrbauer is right on. It is impossible to not have conflicting dates when you have so many races. Racers need to decide which series is worth their time/money.

I never thought I'd see the day where people are complaining because there are too many events... ah boy.

Such a good series. Sorta bummed the Larch mountain stop isn't on there. Those trails are burly as they get.

 It's hard to beat Larch.
  • 1 2
 Maybe because it's in Washington??
  • 1 0
True but it's been part of the series for the last two years.

Bummed to see that too....CDC is also not going there this year. Im wondering if the local trail group dug there heels in....Ive also heard a lot of sponsors don't like that spot as theres not much room for expo/booths etc.

That makes sense, I accidentally showed up the day of the 2013 race and the sponsor tent/main area was sort of a shit show just because there isn't a big open space at the bottom.

Agree. That race was insanely fun last year!

yeahhh this schedule is lame!!!! I WILL NOT BE AT ANY OF THIS EVENTS, because I will doing the NW Cup. All this time waiting for nothing. Portland Area riders have to choose between DH and Enduro races in Mt.Hood in the same weekend, REALLY? such poor planning makes my head hurt!!!!! VERY LAME!!!!!!

Sounds like fun. Looking forward to doing the Hood River & Mt Hood for sure. Hopefully one or both of the remaining.

Which one of these would be the best to try out?

-Bend is a little flatter and more pedaling than the rest but the trails are a blast and you can get a lot of practice runs in.
-Hood River is awesome with great trails through the trees and tacky dirt.
-Mt Bachelor is the wild card because they haven't raced there yet and the trails are new within the last few years. The USA Enduro Nationals were scheduled there but moved. There would most likely be lift-assisted stages.
The Finals at Mt Hood are great because you get a great mix of terrain between the Sandy Ridge trails (day 1) and Mt Hood/Ski Bowl (day 2) and it's the finals so it's always a big one.
