Pau Menoyo Busquets had been looking sensational all weekend but a messy qualifying left him further back. He got it all together when it mattered though for his first World Cup victory.

After an incredible week of racing in Leogang, let's see how the results stack up in the overall standings after the first round of the 2021 DH World Cup.

Max Commencal is the real player and winner of fantasy league.

My money is always on Max, can't go wrong

I'm really impressed particularly with the Dorval Team. Huge improvements across the board on what used to be a team on the fringes of the sport only a few years ago. Commencal MucOff really proved that new prototype this weekend, I wonder if Dorval, Commencal 21, and Commencal 100% will get a crack at some of the new VHP rigs...

@ryanandrewrogers: Angel Suarez is already on the prototype

@melonhead1145: Oh, didn't know that. It's a shame Benoit hasn't gotten one yet, maybe after this performance. Seems like he ought to deserve the prototype bike after being a top-30 WCDH racer for the better half of the last decade...

@ryanandrewrogers: I had him pinned for great things last year after the French national championship win but he just never managed to pull it together. Solid performance this weekend though

While my fantasy team incl minnaar and co only did ok, the intense boys had a really poor weekend with mulally not qualifying and Gwin way way off the pace. Lets hope we see a bit more opposition to the frenchies next race

Opposition to the frenched like Brosnan and Balanche?

Are there no team points for the junior women, ever, or does it just so happen that none of these riders has team support? Kind of sad either way... Doesn't give one high hopes for a deep women's field in a couple years.

Oye Intense guys did not look so goos

it is sad to see the end of Gwin's career like that, tbh. Peaty got to beat world champs, Minnar is not doing too bad at 40 yo, Sam Hill is still killing it in Enduro. I hope there is some sort of redemption for Aaron

@Narro2: Careers usually end like that unless you decide to step out on top of your game like Tracey. Don’t really think it’s sad for Gwin. He has reached what any downhiller could dream of. It’s ok to fade away from top results slowly at least if you’re still having a good time

@stefkrger: but thats precisely the thing, Minnar is still in the top10, Gwin is nowhere to be seen yet, is he having a good time? of course, but these are racers, they want to win races.

When AG left YT he was still awesome, his Champs race, after coming back form injury and on a new bike, was a very strong performance. I don't think athletes like Nico, GM or AG lose their edge overnight. Sure, they may go past their peak, but, much as I hate pointing fingers at equipment, this does not reflect well on Intense.

Anne Caroline Chausson was riding in Leogang?
