Would love Minnaar to take the win Sunday and then the whole kit and caboodle.

Would be like redemption for the 2017 season

So stoked on this race season even if its over in a month. Right down to the wire. Cmon Matt Walker lad!!!

He really has turned it on! He's being super-consistent. Doesn't seem to be getting the credit he's due!

So in order to win in Men's Elite you have to qualify 4th?
  • 7 0
the winning recipe is be a puzzler on a v10 and qualify 4th
  • 3 0
No points for qualies for the last race
  • 4 0
How the heck did Loris get a front flat on that track? Doesnt seem to be a single rock section on it.
  • 1 0
Must have banged a strange root. I agree. It was weird.

Likely rolled the tire off the bead (may have been a fresh install) and burped it. Although it was odd to not see any sealant.

There was a clip on the Syndicate insta stories, they went back up the track to look it seems. Sharp spiky rock poking out one of the jump landings. Pure bad luck.

Oisin O'Callaghan also flatted in the juniors.. Rear though
  • 1 0
@snotrag: oh wow thanks for that. My money was also on a burp.

Amazing he still came 17th though. Got himself some useful points

pretty sure there's a MISTAKE IN LORIS VERGIERS points tally - it has him with .........

1st for quali = 50pt,
58th for race - 3pt
17th for timed training - 53 pt

except he got 11th in time training, which im not sure but would give him 14points and much closer to matt walker

i'm shit at maths so someone please correct me if i got this wrong, if i'm right someone please tell the UCI they need to make sure Loris gets the points hes due

 1st quali = 50
58th race = 3

together 53 which is the 17th highest for points combined. Timed training is not giving points...
  • 2 0
There isn't any timed training points, he got 53 points overall from 50 in quali and 3 in the race.

edit: beat to it above.
  • 4 0
@tomonda: aha ..... told you I was shit with numbers . thanks guys
  • 1 0
@forkbrayker: timed training is more for the fans to have something else to talk about. A lot of riders don't try hard.
  • 3 0
Maybe to win you just need to ride for the Syndicate.

 BIKES ARE SO RAD
  • 3 1
Go on Matt! Av it... Bring the championship back to Oswestry!
  • 1 0
Points for wins should be higher, with more spread between first and second place. Its a big deal to win, isn't it?
  • 2 0
Agree. Going second is way too easy.
  • 1 0
Possible that his front tyre burped all the sealant out
  • 2 0
 Yes sir!
  • 1 1
Gwin must really be past his prime... 8th overall? smh

/s

That being said, Minaar still = #GOAT
