Minnar in 7th even though he got 0 points in the first round!
So gutted that Troy had a "bad" result this weekend, it really pushed him somewhat out of contention for the overall.

Dave Trummer’s phone going to be blowing up this off season I think! What a year he is having.

Totally undervalued rider in the fantasy league. He’s going to appreciate a lot this year.

So, with major upsets, Troy could still take it.. but it’s most likely to be Amaury taking Loic right to the wire.

It would be interesting to see what sort of strategy Loic will have for Lenzerheide. Will he go for the top step or will he play it safe?

He won there last year but was only 0.2s over Maes, 0.3 over Danny H, and 0.7 over Loris, in what was the closest DH World Championships yet.

the overall strategy is to get down the hill faster than the other competitors

QUESTION: Are protected status riders required to race if they aren't injured?. What happens if Lenzerhide settles the points and we have an over all winner like last year and atleast a certain top 5 regardless of order... do racers just toss in the towel on the final ESPECIALLY being post-worlds?

I am wondering how the turnout is going to look for Snowshoe! I cant see a bunch of people justifying the cost to stay in North America after worlds just to race for a stab at 35th place overall.

No, they are not required to race - I think it's pretty stupid to have Worlds before the WC concludes. You're right - the Snow Shoe turnout might be weak. We'll see.

Say what you want about the UCI but with those qualifying points it makes things really interesting.

31st for the Denim Destroyer and he's only done 4 rounds. Someone needs to sign this legend up.
