Video: A Park and DJ Rider's Dream Yard

Mar 4, 2015
by Pinkbike Staff

Pat moved into his dream home in 2013, building his backyard ramp to perfection just six months later. The trails, his newest collaboration with Monster Energy were designed and built by one of the most prolific trail builders in the world, Adam Aloise.

In this new edit, Pat christens his amazing new features with an onslaught of stylish tricks mixed with straight up bangers. No one in BMX rides like Pat, and Dream Yard 2 is a testament to that fact!

Double decade looks so much crazier than a double whip, wow

 3 bar double whip too!

That's cuz it is. It's a essentially a 720 whip. More going on than a double whip.

only when you see someone do double decades in their backyard is when you know you need to get out more

"Arguably the best private track in the world", except when Pat's shredding it, then it IS the best private track in the world. Saw him throw down at Metro. The Bez won naturally, being the fave, but Casey may have put on the best show. Another one of those "arguable" things I guess. :/

oh my god i love bmx... jumping dirt jumps is one of the top 3 best sensations you can have on 2 wheels
  • 4 3
who wants bigger wheels? that's what can be done on 20", if you want to throw a bike about, the smaller the better.
  • 2 0
Having just swapped my 26 for a 20 I can tell you, smaller wheels make everything easier but they have no forgiveness if you screw up. 26 is like training wheels when you are jumping. (obviously there is a point where 20 doesn't cut it, but that's way past where mortals ride)

Did I see that right? Is his drivetrain on the left side of his bike?
  • 1 0
yeah, its actually pretty common with BMX if you grind on the right side.
I had the same thing on my bike. Keeps the drivetrain out of harms way when you're grinding on ledges/rails etc.

Man he is throwin down the bangers like its no problem...
  • 1 0
did anyone else notice his drive train is on the wrong side
  • 1 0
it's not wrong side. Its just user-friendly, for grinding and catching tailwhips/do barspins on crank.Sad,but in mtb world its no difference on system for right foot riders and left foot.
