Tech Talks Presented by Park Tool

Tech Talks Presented by Park Tool is a monthly video series hosted by Park Tool's own wrench whisperer, Calvin Jones. The new series will cover the A to Zs of some of the most prevalent repair jobs, with the fifth episode showing you how to perform a few different wheel repairs while out on the trail.

Getting through a repair at home and with correct tools is one thing, but what happens when things go south on the trail? Our wheels take a beating, and they don't always wait until we get back home to let us know that something is wrong, which is why it can pay to know a few tricks to keep you rolling rather than walking.

Probably used his gf's bike for the video so he doesn't fuck up his own bike.

Maybe because in previous Tech Talk they used Rock R-001 tool to bend derailleur hanger and they can't return it back to Giant dealer Smile But it is really nice woman specific enduro bike

See if we all ran 26, 24 or 20" wheels we definitely wouldn't be having wheel issues when we're riding.
Totally scientifically proven

Or just go back to Mag wheels. Bend 'em and chuck 'em in the freezer to straighten. (Or was it the oven? I can never remember which ends up with a melted wheel!)

I still run 26" and 24" on the same bike. The rocks just move right outta my way when they see me coming. THAT'S science right there. I've seen it happen.

@bigtim: Freezer with Skyway Tuff II. Skyway's still around - I nearly got black Tuff2 on my 24" lime green NS to match my son's strider exactly!
ACS wheels were flexy as anything. Do not touch.

depends... if you're hairy enough to go outside without a jacket then go for it. if you're talking facial hair then I find a nice full beard to be a better fashion statement than animal fur that doesn't even keep you warm on your hood.
