The FMB should really have one or two street events, something in a jam format with the best in the world. These guys kill it as hard on pavement as they do in the dirt

I thought the same thing. Soderstrom needs to heal up.
  • + 2
@tchach11: MacDuff is nearly healed too- I think he's the 64million dollar man.
  • + 1
Indeed. Quality riding that I think anyone can enjoy. Brakeless no less if I am not mistaken!
  • + 1
Always brakeless for pavel. Even when the madman was on the nitro circus
  • + 1
@jordanneedsafork: Runs a shonky rear only setup for slope/ bigger DJ courses I seem to remember too. Can't remember the details but remember thinking it was pretty ghettoSmile
  • + 1
Yeah I guess that makes sense as some courses require you to brake :/ Yeah pretty ghetto though lol

Question (no street experience) - is he using a freehub at the back for some of these shots? If not, what kind of drivetrain/hub allows you to freewheel backwards?
  • + 9
He's using a freecoaster hub, when you start going backwards the driver is essentially just unscrewed from the hub and it allows the wheel to spin freely without any movement in the pedals. Once you pedal forward again you screw the driver back into the hub, it reengages, and allows you to pedal like normal. It started in BMX but now they are making some freecoaster that fit MTB frames
