Pearce Cycles 2019 Kicks Off in Bringewood

Press Release: Pearce Cycles

Pearce Cycles’ 2019 Downhill race series kicks off this weekend. Dave, Lindsey and all the team at Pearce have been busy getting the Nation’s most popular race series ready for another season. The 2019 series consists of four rounds, using our most popular tracks with the first round at Bringewood this weekend. Round Two will be held at Kinsham, Round Three at Hopton and Round Four at Bucknell.

Entries are sold out for Bringewood with 330 riders. We have our biggest ever Youth category of Fifty-nine riders. A massive thanks to ONeal, helping us to subsidise the cost of racing for the Youth and Juvenile categories, reducing the entry costs for the younger riders.

As ever we will be using our own timing system which we have refined year on year to give us reliable live timing and display. In 2018 we added a new commentator, local man and MX commentator Darren Bartholomew (Barty) who was a massive hit with the regulars. Darren will be returning for the whole series for 2019. Matt Pearce has his team of paramedics ready. As ever, our fleet of Land Rovers and trailers will be at the ready.

With a strong Elite Men field, the favourite must be local man Marc Beaumont, although Adam Brayton will be hungry aboard his Ohlins equipped Nukeproof as will Taylor Vernon now riding for his own team.

Specialized as well as being title sponsor will also be sponsoring the speed trap offering prizes for the fastest male and female on race day.

Awesome that the Pearce races are still going strong! I grew up doing these races (last one in about 2007). Always did shit in them, but always had a great time and they are a big part of the reason I got so into riding

Meanwhile at the other end of the country the SDA are still waiting for enough entries to make a call on whether it happens or not, at Innerleithen a fortnight later..
