Riders gather at the start ramp to plan out the day's jaw-dropping runs.
Things are about to get rowdy at Austria's biggest dirt competition of the year.
Cashrolls are starting to make it into competition runs! Here Antoine Bizet performing one on the last jump.
Louis Reboul - hands down the steeziest rider of the evening. If you replaced his bike with an FMX machine you wouldn't spot a difference.
Barspins during backflips and frontflips? Yeah, it must be Rheeder.
Because the sky was the limit this weekend, here's a look at what riders were seeing as they went inverted.
Nicholi Rogatkin made his country proud with a solid 5th place thanks to his amazing bag of banger tricks.
Mr. Unlucky, aka Mehdi Gani, had a very nasty time with Austria's gravity and could not take part in the finals. He was one of the top riders during training, so it's a shame he couldn't ride. Heal up fast Mehdi!
Signing sessions with the riders are always a delight for the fans from across the globe.
Textbook backflip tuck no-hander by the golden Canadian.
Oskar Nagy, the young gun from Hungary, had some good runs today, ending the day in 4th place. Looking forward to see him at the other events this upcoming season
Good style is timeless. Louis Reboul passes through the statues of the nearby park with his typical sideways position.
Germany's own Lukas Knopf hits hard on the track and unfortunately drops to the 13th spot. Take note kids, this isn't always an easy way of having fun.
Elof Lindh's riding skills seem to get better and better every year.
Antoine Bizet uses his acrobatic skills to have more fun than anyone on the bike. The French madman has backflip tuck no-handers on lock.
The top UK rider of the event had some trouble on the last jump and did not manage to stomp a clean 720. Still, Sam's Reynolds' style and skills makes him one of the best in the game.
Simon Pages, the young gun from France, made his run truly amazing and scored a personal best in his career placing on the 6th spot.
Diego Caverzasi is getting better at the game of bike and pulls flipwhips with ease. A great 8th spot for him.
"La Frite", Thomas Genon, is nearing the machine level with his runs. He did not make mistakes and tried new moves even in his final runs. He tried to pull a cork 720 on the last hit but had to bail. Despite that he grabbed the last step of the podium.
Brett spinning down the start drop.
Stoked on being pumped, that's how we can describe Szymon Godziek after his 2nd run. He pulled a great run and landed in the second best spot this afternoon.
Mr. Number One - Brett Rheeder just left all the competitors a few levels below. Despite a helmet cracking issue during the training session he simply killed the track.

Great event and photos, BUT: is it just me or was the live broadcast not that good? There was a loud sweep every 30 seconds which made the broadcast a pain for my ears and the 48 hour long video stream made it impossible to rewind... Sorry for "hating" but i was a little bit disappointed.
remember the Arrival movie? It also had the "sweep" or noise distortion in it. The reason they did that is so that you dont record it and or post it somewhere.
Thanks Scapegoat, that makes sense. Shame, as it was bloody annoying. In the end, I turned off the sound and listened to some metal, which made it even better! \m/
Ah, great contest in a great city, I seriously need to get back to Vienna for a few months in winter next year and take in MOD then Air King. As well as the fucking awesome city, congrats Viennese people on living in the best place ever.
