ENTER BELOW FOR A CHANCE TO WIN

What is Pimp My Bike?
Customising your ride is one of the most exciting things about owning a bike. Pinkbike users can now win one of a kind, completely unique prizes that money can’t buy with our new Pimp My Bike contest.
We won't have Xzibit knocking on your door but we guarantee that this prize can't be found anywhere else, apart from winning it here on Pinkbike.

What is the Prize?
For our first time around we’re teaming up with Push Industries to give you the ultimate suspension prize.
You could win a customized Pinkbike Elevensix shock, which will never be available to buy. Ever.

Custom engraved Push Industries shock for Pimp My Bike
Your name engraved here.

You'll also get a brand new product that Push are launching. We don't even know what it is, we just got sent this CAD drawing… but you will get one. You might even get to own one before any of the Pinkbike staff get their hands on it.

Pimp My Bike Presented by Push Industries
Any guesses what it might be?

How are your new kick-ass Push products going to get installed on your bike?
We’re going to get you and your ride to their HQ and they’ll install them—heck you might even be able to help make it in the factory! We’d recommend leaving it to the experts though…

Inside Push Industries
Darren Murphy, the owner of Push Industries, will be on hand to show you around.

Inside Push Industries
Check out all those buttons. The winner will actually get to find out what each of them does... maybe even push one.

Push Industries
You'll be getting a custom engraved shock here, with the PB logo and whatever else will fit on—a money can't buy prize.

Once your shock is built, Push will take you out to their local trails with their telemetry setup and help dial in your bike. They will send you home with a totally dialed bike, and probably a lot more knowledge than you had before.

Pimp My Bike Presented by Push Industries
All of this will be on your bike and by the end of the day; you're going to be able to bore your friends with how much you know about suspension.

When will all of this be happening?
Deadlines for entries are on Sunday, May 29th at 12pm PST. The winner will be announced on Tuesday, June 6th at 8am PST. The dates for when the prize will be redeemed to be discussed with the winner after they have been chosen at random.

Log into your Pinkbike account and hit the button below—that's it.

Man, these are going to look so good on my Raleigh Activator

The activator didn't have rear suspension, that was the 2 and it used an inline elastomeric bumper, which is incompatible with this application. I'm not even convinced you have one...

I'm gonna stick it in the rear of my Krampus with some gaffer tape.

They should have a contest to guess the mystery part, pick a winner that way too.

Will the wife go for "well I need to have a new frame for when I win this contest"?
  • 3 0
Very good point! hahaha......whoever wins might have to buy a bike worthy of the love
  • 3 0
 My very first thought!
  • 2 0
My wife actually said. "If you win, are you going to buy a new frame to put it on?" Picture not so happy wife. Cause you keep saying your current bike is all used up. Picture not understanding or believing wife. All I could say was. Well you know. She stomped off.
  • 13 0
What? I will win a custom shock, visit US, ride some trails on my just bought bike with sweet setup and I don't even have to kill anybody or sell my kidney for it? Best prize ever!

Prototype spoke for new wheel size?
  • 14 0
@declanmtb: suspension spokes! That's an idea! Maybe not a good one, but nonetheless an idea lol
  • 51 0
People people, don't be daft. Don't you see, this is a suspension company. And what do mountainbike suspension companies make?

Right.

Dropper seatposts.

Unlike all these conventional ones which are typically inspired by the office chair, this one is inspired by a much more reliable design. The piano stool. Simply give the saddle (which attaches to that dial shaped mount) a spin to adjust height.

This will definitely take off amongst dirt jumpers and the Looney Tunes alike.

I'd sell my left nut for this.
  • 29 0
U still have a left nut, well done!
  • 9 0
@Maverickdh00: I'd sell many people's left nuts for this
  • 9 3
That's enough guys, someone reading this is likely gonna get there feelings hurt because they dont have a left nut to give. Apparently right nuts are not an option. Is this because right nuts are prized and so no one will give'em up or is it because nobody wants a right nut and so has a much lower value? Or is the left of something always the first to be sacrificed.

Anyway, I want to win!
  • 22 0
I lost my left nut to cancer 3 years ago, and it was replaced by a prosthetic. Unfortunately, I believe the restless spirit of my old left nut has haunted its replacement. Perhaps this is my chance to sell it and end the curse.
  • 1 1
@h-beck83: Whoever downvoted your comment needs a kick to both nuts...
  • 2 0
My left nut is bigger then the right, so its better value.
  • 1 1
 Pinkbike, I ... I love you. 3
  • 7 0
I really hope someone with an E-bike wins this
  • 5 0
More contests should come with engraved prizes or some type of weird personalization. I think it'll lower the likelyhood of the prize ending up on buy/sell. Good Idea!
  • 2 0
I remember when PUSH first opened in Irvine, you could hand Darren your shock and he'd have the next day completely modded out the next day. He was always very nice even when answering stupid questions that he probably had to answer every day. I wish I had more confidence in my mechanical when he told me he was looking for a technician. Would have been an amazing learning experience.
  • 6 0
Legit best prize ever. Fingers crossed! Thanks PB and Push.
  • 4 0
Shit this would cost me a lot of money... I'd have to buy a new bike that deserves such shiny bits. And instead of Xhibit I expect Tippie knocking on my door!
  • 1 0
Man If there's ever a competition i want to win and nothing else it would be this, after making a bike frame for my a level involving some CNC work this would be the perfect progression from the project and would allow me to progress me work and knowledge to an unbelievable level! Please, for once, let me win this one!!!

How is it a prize if you have to go to America? That's torture in itself isn't it lol jk!!
  • 4 1
I'd have to buy a new bike if I won because I sure as hell am not going to put something that nice on a 2008 Glory. Might be time for a GG/DH or some such fancy machine.
  • 2 0
Second picture looks like a fork air-shaft which integrates the top air cap, though I guess it could also be any suspension damper of sort (like, coiled shock - mainly due to the proportion of the elements)
  • 1 0
@bankz What's the value in improving the airspring with things like MRP Ramp Control Cartridge? Thanks
  • 1 0
@bankz I was thinking along the same lines, as this replacing a fork's air top cap. A way to utilize space to give additional control to the fork?
  • 3 0
This is really great advertising. What a prize, good work to everyone involved.
  • 4 0
Going to be funny if whoever wins rides a hard tale.

If an Avalanche cart is around $500, I can only assume that's going to be a $1000 fork cartridge... IE, more expensive than the fork it ends up going in...
  • 1 0
I was told it was going to be in the $3-400 area. But who knows
  • 1 0
@scary1: Heard the same - Ava stuff is pretty decent but lack of HSC adjustment kills me. Also had issue with damper seating on bottom out bumper. Hope It's a Push Cartridge!!!!!
  • 2 1
Thanks for the chance Push! I've been fighting with the rear shock on my SB66c for a while now, and this would be a big help! Good luck all!

just give me the blue prints, I'll make one with tighter tolerances on my Mazak than that p.o.s. Haas! LoL
  • 3 0
Hey man. I pump out prototypes for Ford with 9 micron tolerances all day long on my 3 early 2000 HAAS VF3's. They may not be the most rigid machines but they can and do make quality parts. U just have to actually know how to machine maybe?
  • 1 0
@SomeGuy30: plus minus 2 microns! For real! :/ let me know when your Haas can do that all day long! did anyone say ballscrew? Haas won't guarantee those tolerances. Aerospace and satellite communications, its a bitch.
  • 2 0
@rlucky82: Actually I worked at an aerospace shop on a HAAS vf6. Making my replacement parts for Boeing. So. Yeah. I do everything that everyone else does on machines 2-5 times more money. Like I said. They aren't as rigid but if used properly they can still make good parts. Just have to know how to machine on the machine that u are using.
  • 1 0
Just to add. HAAS now guarantees 3 microns. Just sayin.
