Back in June 2010, the second edition of the ‘Photocontest Slopestyle’ took place in ‘Pistino’ slopestyle park in Nimis (Udine) Italy, where some of the best Italian and Croatian MTBers and photographers showed up.
‘Pistino’ park is a great Slopestyle that offers features from drops of all kind and heights, log rides, wooden step down, dirt step down, 2 dirt jumps at the end of the course, different wallrides and a fun and fast dual slalom as well.
Pictures and story inside,The format of the competition was very unique since the riders scored points according to the photos the photographers took. It wasn’t about the biggest trick, but about the best photo taken. If someone threw a frontflip or a double backflip, but nobody took a photo or if the photo was blurry or too dark, it wouldn’t count as much, so it was all about planning the riding style with the different photographers.
Riders had the possibility of training in the morning and it all started in the afternoon at 3 o clock, where riders and photographers had to give their best for 2 hours, fighting the heat, choosing the best angles, and hiking up and down the track.

3- Carlo Cagnetta
Best trick: Goran Jurica - frontflip
All the riders were killing it at the course, Nicola Pescetto was showing his smooth style on the slopestyle track trickin drops and step downs on his Corsair Konig and on the last 2 dirt jumps riding his Corsair Ducat busting out, flatspin 3’s, tailwhips, and a big frontflip during the best trick jam.
Giacomo Bisi proved to have a solid riding, hitting all the features of the course without problems and busting out big backflips and stylish tricks at the dirt jumps shredding his MDE slopestyle bike.
Carlo Cagnetta showed his dirt jump skills busting out huge backflips at the dirt jumps, too bad he was riding a hardtail, with only the rear brake so he was not able hit all the features of the course, but the photographers really enjoyed his style on the last 2 jumps.
Croatian rider, Goran Jurica, threw a big corked out frontflip that impressed the judges during the best trick jam. The kid shreds dirt jumps pretty hard, busting out big 360 and tailwhips.
