@danstonQ: In fact it's Baphomet, not a Satan. Actually kind off similar to Levy Wink You will also be surprised that it? has female tits and represents balance.
  • 5 1
So, who other than Levy downvoted this??

@rojo-1: I'm still wondering what flavour that damn gelato was...
  • 2 0
@jbravo: someone laughing so hard the tears blurred their vision and they clicked the wrong one on accident.

Without a high pivot and electronic suspension this thing is already super out dated.
  • 43 0
It leaves them room for improvement for the third generation
  • 48 0
@MatLax00: Pinkbike / Pivot already adopting the well ingrained MTB industry practice of planned obsolescence.
  • 16 0
 You forgot mullet
  • 11 1
@MatLax00: Right? Why do everything at once when you can make incremental changes?
  • 43 0
Being the whole point of the exercise was to jump 10 years into the future with geometry, they might as well make it high pivot, gearbox, electric motor and suspension... the main thing is to ensure the price reflects the future as well... I'm thinking maybe $125,000.00 USD or in that ballpark
  • 21 0
@ctd07: With a 2.5yr delay between ordering and delivery too?
  • 15 0
Hyperboost where it's a tricycle axle at the back with one side of each hub laced to a central rim.
  • 10 6
@Linc: Anything sold is obsolete the moment it is produced. This is capitalism. Eternal consumption.
  • 2 0
@MatLax00: by then it'll be standard chainlines, short reaches and 28" wheels. What exactly is your point?
  • 2 0
@PhillipJ: I'm not sure if you thought that through fully....
  • 3 4
@m1dg3t: might sound cool but it's not really true is it.
  • 1 0
@Linc: most definitely! 2.5 year minimum delays due to supply chain issues resulting from the ongoing covid29 outbreak and subsequent devastation from the zombie apocalypse
  • 2 1
@ibishreddin: 28"? I hope by that point the 36" will have become standard!

Funny thing is, 28" is already a thing, same when we a 700/29er!

@m1dg3t: Dude relax. keep your bikes longer then if that's how you feel. It must suck going through life being perpetually angry.
  • 2 5
@ccurtis20: LoL I am relaxed. I do keep my bikes longer. I do buy my bikes 2nd hand. Enjoy your eternally blissful ignoranceSmile

@oldmanbucksaw: LoL Easy Homer, or no doughnuts for you!

@m1dg3t: just because I choose not to be angry and lash out at random internet people doesn’t make me ignorant to the world around me. Hope you can learn to be less combative some day
  • 2 5
@ccurtis20: I made a factually correct statement. You are the 1 with the panties in a bunch LoL. I really don't think you know what anger & lashing out truly is. Combative? LoL

It doesn’t even look that out there anymore. If it didn’t have the name on it, I would think “cool, another enduro bike”. Hope there is a video series on it . And an efficiency test lol
  • 5 0
I think the captions angle mitigate the visual shock of the HTA and STA.
  • 4 0
@freebikeur: Seeing it in person, it just looks like another enduro bike.
  • 47 10
And Pivot out of all companies is producing it? Pivot is not exactly what comes to mind when you hear the words "lower, longer, slacker". Or did they make it 10 degrees steeper? Wink
  • 6 1
Will it come with a PF92 or threaded BB?
  • 17 0
I mean if there is a future where mtb geometry is headed in this direction and bikes like THIS are the alternative, I think I honestly prefer Pivots approach of having slightly conservative geometry.
  • 8 1
 @rivercitycycles: Both, one either side.

This Sea Otter seems like it was on life support.

I don't partake in any of the festivities, I just showed up to race. So I can't speak to the party action. But...

2019 Pro Men XC field: 69
2021 Pro Men XC field: 31, and not a single WC racer

Woman's field was TINY.

@nurseben: outerbike was fantastic for those who went. Plenty of bikes to go around. I never had to wait for a bike i wanted.

 Looks like a dw-link, @MikeLevy wasn’t fooling.

Awesome looking bike, props on the creativity, execution PB and Pivot.

Everybody memeing about this and that and I'm here just droolin on the custom 38 decals and pink coil. That would be so rad on any bike. If the GD2 is a 10k concept bike or not even for public sale, at least convince Fox to release those decals to the public and maybe do a limited pink coil Smile
  • 54 0
ha, we make all the custom stuff for Pivot and Fox. as an authorized Fox vendor, we are happy to make you those same fork stickers. email us at the shop!
  • 13 1
Can't wait to see Bernard race it at the WC! That Head badge pic looks like Levy They should've used multi colored spokes to represent the sprinkles
  • 10 0
The leak has an air sprung shock and a dual crown fork.

This one has a coil shock and a single crown fork?

Are there multiple build options available for this bike?
  • 1 1
On Pivots Instagram they go over this in a video released today. Tons of different options regarding setup with two linkages, etc. They mention the different forks as well.
  • 9 0
Not even gunna give us a proper side on pic. Shame on you
  • 8 0
we need numbers. we need a full bike check. we need a riding video. my nerdy inner self is in a state of unrest.
  • 1 0
Numbers are available only in "Spotted" articles.
  • 10 2
Please tell us that this is a thing. Like not just a one off project...
  • 6 2
Can the forks even compress on flat ground? I would be really curious to try the donut out on the steepest trails in my area, but I'd honestly be scared of the steerer tube breaking and the whole front end separating from the bike.
  • 4 2
No it won’t, or not much at all due to binding.
  • 15 0
nope. according to the owner's manual, gotta sag it on a 47% downslope.
  • 14 6
 Looks like a session
  • 5 1
Pinkbike, please do a comparison between running the Grim with the non-DW-link suspension and Flight Attendant vs the DW-link with conventional suspension. That would actually be pretty interesting.
  • 7 0
We were promised 3 water bottles! Typical Frown
  • 6 0
Probably been said but there’s only one person to test this…

Bernard Kerr
  • 6 0
Eddie Masters already volunteered himself on Instagram. The test video should be entertaining if he actually ends up doing it.
  • 6 0
From Pivots IG: "With this head andle the fork doesn't move in the parking lot" hahaha

Tell me you got that outside mag money, without telling me you got that outside mag money.

I have no inside info, but I don't expect Pinkbike will have paid a penny for this. Brands may even be paying to be part of it.

That 38 is on 1 CSU per ride !
  • 3 1
Yoann Berelli would approve. Just the fact that he was faster on a familiar track than riding his personal (Comencal Meta) should be enough to put this into production. #EnDHuro #DownDuro #Lowrider

Yay and Nay. Headbadge is pure gold.
With GD1 the geo was everything. Now it's done.
The GD2 is a step back from the future, so maybe 5 years ahead? Then it really needs to be at the current edge, so it should have superboost and gearbox. (And 220 mm front disc, 210 mm dropper and 160 mm cranks.)
  • 2 0
gearbox and 160mm cranks? ew gross.
  • 1 0
It should have a 220mm rear disc and something bigger on the front. Dual crown fork and 250mm dropper post.
  • 1 0
Correct. GD2 looks more like gravel bike from the (near) future ...
  • 5 1

Never understood donuts. Far too sugary and soggy for my taste. anyway, I love this one. Such a fun project. And major props to Pivot if they would actually make a production run. Although, knowing Pivot, the price would probably be terrifying...
