POC Eastern States Cup: Super D and Enduro Cup Finals Coming to Killington

The end is nigh. With the 2014 race season winding down here on the east coast, one of North America's premier Enduro and Super-D series will launch one final assault on the trails of the east coast's biggest bike parks: Killington, Vermont. On Saturday, September 6th, scores of riders will converge on the legendary resort located in the heart of the Green Mountains to give it one final go for the POC ESC Super-D Cup. The following day will see those same very riders tackle the 5-stage Enduro Cup finale as overall champions will be crowned and yet another amazing enduro season from Eastern States Cup will draw to a close. An amazing Day 1 of the WTB East Coast Challenge is done

With an extremely tight race for series supremacy coming into the weekend, you can expect to see fireworks during both the Super-D and Enduro finales, for both pro and amateur men and women. Kathy Golebiowski holds a firm lead on the overall for the pro women with 443 points on the season, but 2nd through 4th overall are separated by a mere 29 points. On the men's side of things, Jason Scheiding has taken over the top spot for now, but the entirety of the top 10 remains wide open, especially with Double Points being awarded throughout the weekend! On Saturday, riders will spend the morning taking practice laps on the Super-D and Enduro courses before the start of the Super-D, which will be run as an individual time trial format that afternoon. As always, the POC Eastern States Cup will feature a lofty prize package, with cash prizes being awarded for the weekend's races and overall series standings. On top of that, every amateur winner from Sunday's Enduro plus overall class champions will receive custom WTB Saddles! .

WTB East Coast Showdown Enduro

Killington, Vermont has proven itself to be the East Coast's premier all-mountain destination, with almost 2,000 vertical feet of trails and thousands of acres to explore for riders of all levels; but the POC ESC Super-D and Enduro Cup finale promises to utilize some of the longest, fastest and rowdiest of them all! There will be several top-to-bottom runs between the Super-D and Enduro races and all of them will utilize that famous Vermont loam and some of the most creative line choices you'll find anywhere. This is most certainly a mountain you'll want to familiarize yourself with now if you haven't already, as there are bigger and better things on the horizon for Killington!  Killington is the premiere east coast destination? Yes it's fun but there is no famous vermont Loam there just famous vermont tree roots and sharp slick wet rocks and a green trail that's like riding on marbles
