That was sick to learn the back story to this. Brage is the shit....my new MTB hero....hands down.

Bruh that Norwegian death gap . . . Certified bonkers. His bike compresses so fucking hard on the landing and he straight up bounces from the rebound of it, then rides into swampy creek. I knew of him before this from watching the Hardline races but I never watched any of he is personal edits until this. Guy is a maniac in the best possible way. RIP Jordie Lunn and him could've made the most gnarly shredits together. Rough AF 4 feat. The Biking Viking

Honestly he may be getting as much or more publicity for not winning, at this point.

I voted for Brage (as would any right minded mtb enthusiast) but honestly I can see how judges would chose Semenuk. My impression from FMB events is that riders like Rogatkin will put down tricks that no one else on the course will, but riders like Brett Rheeder will still take the trophy because of their technical excellence. As a viewer my reaction then was basically the same as it is now: I go for the gnarliest trick, not the cleanest. The judges don't feel that way.

@bostonbiker202: That's debatable, but second to Semenuk is a massive achievement for anybody. I see why Semenuk won, and to say otherwise is silly when you really break down what he was doing. From a cinematic view, it's on its own level. Brages video definitely got my more stoked, and was a more "memorable" video for sure. It could have fairly gone to either of them, but I'm stoked that he got the peoples choice. It's almost worth more anyways...
