Wasn't the SC trials bike a one off? The first one wasn't blue so now that there is a blue one, makes me wonder whether it is a new iteration (and if so, what's new?) or that he just got another one and the molds were still good for another go.

either the mold was ready for another go or they might have even just given it a fresh paint job

@aliclarkson: Thanks! Cool they went through all that for a single athlete who may bring a lot of exposure, but obviously they're not bringing the actual bike to the market. Only other time I've seen that was with the Honda DH team.

How does it ride compared to your Hex?

@aljoburr: no he's got his blue one with him.

It might be Danny's 60psi tyres but it rides pretty harshly, there's no flex anywhere which is great for feedback but gets tiring quick! It's also very short and I prefer the extra length the Hex gives and softer feel for more bounce and forgiveness

@aliclarkson: Are you aware whether Danny runs his other bikes short and stiff too or is it specific for his trials bike?

Would be interesting actually to see a comparison to how top trials (or trialsish) riders setup their trials and trail bikes. Especially now loads are just as well known for the moves on their "regular" mountainbikes. Hans Rey, Ryan Leech, Chris Akrigg, Rick Koekoek, you Drop and Roll guys...

@vinay: Mainly his trials bike but I wouldn't exactly call his MTB plush, it's not super harsh (IE locked out) but he definitely has his tyres pumped up harder than most...the main thing I find weird about his (and Duncan's) setup is how steep they have their levers, it feels like I'm supporting all my weight on my thumb. I prefer a much flatter lever angle so I rest my weight on my palm

I'll admit, I stopped watching Danny's videos when half of them were eBike content, though it feels like WAY more. Just lost interest.
