Tom: Overall winner by a mile.
Remy: Style award.
Kade: Person I most want to ride like.
Macduff: Creativity award (hardtail edition).
Stark: Creativity award (big bike edition).

Ya, in a world of "everyone gets a prize" this is an example of all the competitors actually deserving recognition for their parts.

What a privilege to be able to consume such amazing content.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Nope kade absolutely cleared. Don't let one trick pick a winner.
  • 40 1
These videos would be so much better if they started with 3 minutes of slow motion b-roll of people putting their feet on pedals interspersed with shots of random trees. Other than that, they're all pretty good.
  • 6 6
@Westermann: I agree, Kade's flow has me mesmerized and the thud of hard sketchy landings in the other vids make me cringe. All have great riding but Kade has my vote.

In my opinion MacDuff had the best vibe and was the most suprising. Big bike was lacking, but amplitude was not – that air?!
  • 5 0
They are all bangers for sure. TVS is breaking the laws of physics in multiple clips. Just slight shame that TVS and Macduff's edits, while having the most bonkers tricks, are edited in a really disjointed manner, the locations and gear keep changing from one clip to another back and forth.

I don't know who will win, but I do know who will lose; workplace productivity.

Yes. Just getting out to do a mtb ride on the local trails w/o a prognar double down fatty lipped booster is a chore sometimes. For all those not in the know, these epic videos viewed by the non mtb trail user sure do lay an impression on them. I have heard multiple times from folks that “mtbrs”are crazy and as a different trail user, I don’t want to share trails with them because, well you know why, Their perception has some validity to it in regards to perception of and access to trails. Is this just a sign of the times or just a project for someone taking “outdoor program administration” at Prescott college? Shred on, or off the ground._-!

Well said jk.... as I'm sitting at my desk watching all of these.
  • 4 0
dude the clips are 90 seconds, you could watch all of them in the bathroom
  • 52 26
None of them show „real“ mountain biking - at least as far my reality goes. However, TVS left me impressed the most (terrain, skills, music). Unreal to the max!
  • 22 14
Agreed...Remy is the closest thing to actual mountain biking...like that one the most personally.
  • 8 2
@wolftwenty1: I really do love the trail building in Remy's. Is it the closest thing to mountain biking tho? I don't think so. It is a very clean track with insane stunts and smooth riding. TVS has some big drops, he is railing some turns and got the bangers. That is real mtb in my opinion. But I do love every edit!! So cool to watch.

Imagine how lame it would be to watch a bunch of dudes throw their chamois and bum bags on and go pedal up a hill then whinge about how “freestyle isn’t mountain biking” because they can’t relate to it…
  • 10 3
@phil-mclean: UCI shows that every weekend. Apparently it's pretty popular.
  • 8 8
What are you smoking? “Not real mountain biking” all the videos are the top skill in mountain biking right now.
  • 5 3
@mariomtblt: I think you're missing it. He means not real as in realistic as far as his own capabilities
  • 7 0
I think his style looks more bmx, the tyre slides, grinds and quarter pipes. It's cool but not what I'd consider mtb.
  • 5 0
@wolftwenty1: I agree. Tom's part probably had the biggest and gnarliest moves. So, I'm not surprised it got the most votes. But personally I enjoyed Remy's part the most, as I found it to be the most "relatable".
  • 3 2
@andrewsantos: “if you want to see some real mountain biking, just wait until I start typing into PB comment section. The only thing that truly matters in this sport.”
  • 2 0
@wolftwenty1: It's definitely great but how is a wall of plywood in the woods or a lip sculpted by a stone mason different from the others? Kade's is the only terrain that most of us could ever hope to ride in a bike park.
  • 30 3
Can I write in Brage Vestavik?
  • 20 2
 Brage would vote for Stark.
  • 24 1
I'd say Dylan stark has the most creative edit. Pretty raw. This is a great competition.
  • 8 5
Stark felt like a bunch of random clips, no flow through the edit, then MacDuff was all linked together basically variations of the same spot, not enough variety
  • 21 2
 I´d say Brage
  • 16 2
Remy's is my favorite, he's like the musician whose technical riffs get hidden by all that damn soul. with that said, I don't know how Van Steenbergen doesn't win. 3 other wild hits and send edits and he still stands out as the craziest.
  • 17 3
Dylan Stark! Grinding everything. That's bringing something new to the sport! It's much more mountain biking than slopestyle moves on manicured jumps and wood-built features. It's a good example of applying his creativity to the terrain rather than overly molding it to fit its creativity..
  • 14 2
Kade gets it for me. The riding, scenery and shots were sick. Remy's trailbuilding was ridiculous! TVS wins best trick, but the video felt like a bunch of big hits thrown together without much continuity.
  • 7 3
Yeah a bunch of bangers put together, its almost like he was trying to make the best edit or something.

 @scott-townes:

Shit - my finger automatically clicked on downvote that single time i wanted to upvote your comment. Sry for that
  • 10 0
I watched them all 4 times each now and every time I want to change my answer
  • 8 0
 Remys style is soooooo good
Tom’s stuff was just bonkers
  • 5 1
Go check out Stark’s latest instagram post for an insane crash clip of his big step down. Really shows off the level of consequence when things go wrong. I know someone who was there and saw the crash, and they were all like “He’s dead.” Nope. Just jacked up his wrist a bit.

Matt MacDuff has a nice edit, unfortunately the editor didn't notice that he had a mis-rendered frame at 0:30. But otherwise, nice work by Davinci's resolve.
  • 1 0
Good spot, it actually says media offline across the screen.
  • 3 0
haha I clocked that, davinci media offline screen
  • 5 1
 Tom: Craziest
Matt: Most creative
Kade: Best Rider (dude is a world cup racer, WTF? Could be a slopestyle pro)
Remy: Makes me want to ride the most
  • 3 2
 Kade quit racing
  • 8 2
 where is the net ?
  • 3 0
 Brendon got robbed Wink

How to even vote. All absurd, but Cades style is beyond the trick level & Remy's still wearing the same socks he had a kid.
  • 4 0
Kade is so freaking good on a bike...any bike. Really miss him at the world cups though!
  • 4 0
Thats a sh!t ton of pallets in McDuff's edit. the spinny flips were all bonkers!
  • 2 0
Oh wow that’s tough, some insane riding and videography. Very tough to call as they are all so different and unique.

I hope next year the videos are longer. These videos are insane to watch.
  • 5 0
I voted for Dylan, however i can see how Tom’s edit will win majority
  • 2 0
All the edits were friggin amazing, so much creativity and so many bangers. I don't think I could crown a winner! Thank you to all involved...this should be turned into a bigger "movie" like the old days...
  • 3 1
Amazing riding all around. Very interesting group, everyone has unique style and approach. The bikes aren't even that similar. 1. TVS 2. Kade 3. Remy 4. Stark 5. MacDuff 2-5 are a toss up!
  • 20 16
Dylan Stark is a breath of fresh air in a sea of cookie cutter mtb videos
  • 20 5
Cookie cutter??? Go back to playing call of duty bro. All the videos are incredible feats
  • 4 0
Steezeburger has some real Cam Zink energy
  • 5 0
I got a Rough AF jordie feel from it too. solid edit!
  • 4 0
kade had me with that slider half cab out on dirt

nollie backflip on a bike is ridiculous.

One dude who rides the DH bike is the ex bmxer

The thumbnail for Tom's is super annoying and I know he's irritated about it. Why would you use an UNCLICKED frame? He fully extended that superman. How could you snuff the man like that?
  • 8 9
 Right.

Amazing of course and of course extreme is implied with the "X" in X-Games but this average rider is certainly feeling more and more like the content out there is akin to saying in the 1970s "which one of Evel Knievel's videos best captures the spirit of the motorcycle community at-large?"
  • 4 1
All I want is a new Semenuk edit...
  • 3 0
I feel like Kade had the most semenuk energy
  • 1 0
Some next level riding across the board. Now, what I really want is to see a feature length film with all of them session'ing the same spots together.
  • 3 2
Don't forget that Remy filmed his part on a wild ass chainless bike with tiny wheels.

 And built it
  • 1 0
Steezbergen blew my mind with those tricks but man, the vibe from Kade's edit makes me wanna go ride, that 360can was soo f*cking clean.
  • 2 1
Was any of toms clips for this or just recycled stuff? Cool stuff but Kade and remy built insane trails just for this. They should share 1st
  • 4 0
 Macduff got robbed.
  • 2 0
TVS for me. His is the only video I wanna go back and watch immediately after watching all 5. Music stuck in my head as well
  • 1 0
Jesus fucking wept is what I thought watching all of these, a decision is challenging but something about the Remy one gets me.
  • 3 2
Remy was great visual content, but the music choice was not inspiring at all.
  • 3 2
All of these were awesome but Tom threw down the hardest by a fair bit. And his is the most “real” mountain biking IMO.
  • 1 1
Olympic Stadium is still standing? Wow. How has that place not fallen down yet.
  • 2 0
They put the good concrete in the Olympic infrastructure, the crap concrete was used in the highways Smile
  • 2 1
TVS won that by a mile. Remy's was visually stunning though.
  • 2 1
TVS is the most bad ass rider in the world except for maybe Brage
  • 1 0
Remy all day for this one They are all insanely talented riders
  • 1 0
The tailwhip to Fuf? Dude is a DH racer, who woulda known
  • 3 2
the music felt so out of place in all of the videos
  • 1 0
Remy's track is a work of art!!
  • 1 0
F YES. These are all grade A bangers. Inspired.
