Discover Haut Var with Provence Enduro

The south east of France is a European Mountain Biking paradise. The Var, located between the southern Alps and the Mediterranean sea, offers mountain bikers a lot of varied terrain from sub alpine rocky single track to coastal more sandy type of dirt.

The region is perfect for every type of riding, like cross country with one of the biggest XC events in the world: The Roc d'Azur in Fréjus. But of course we have a lot of technical single track trails in pure south of France Enduro fashion.

And because it's the south of France, it's never very cold, there's rarely rain (even during winter) and mud is just a vague notion for local riders. So vague that we have the reputation of being scared to death on muddy and wet terrain, just because we never encounter that very often (some would say never...)

Winter for a lot of riders around the world means to put away the bike and wait for spring. But here autumn and winter means it's time to do some shredding in the woods to beat the local KOM. The single tracks are generally in their perfect condition during autumn, winter and early spring. It's tacky, sometimes loamy and better than super dry summer conditions when the ground is hard packed and becomes slippery, especially all the small rocks that act like marbles under your tires.

Provence Enduro is a local association that promotes mountain biking in the Haut Var area. We are located in Draguignan, an hour drive from Nice International airport and 45 minutes north of St Tropez. We are just located at the edge of a very dense network of single track trails directly accessible by bike from the house. The network has more than 69 trails created specificly for the bike, plus around 60 kms of enduro single track trails. Within a 40 minute drive there is also the Gorges du Verdon which offers beautiful scenery when taking an enduro tour.

You can also ride on the Enduro Roc d'Azur stages (and more) in Rocquebrune sur Argens. The riding is completely different with a sandy terrain, typical of the Maure Massif region. Also in this area is the local enduro race in Les Arcs sur Argens in March with nice, long descents in the Maure Massif.

Our association offers full board accommodation for groups of riders who want to ride and discover the region. The house can accommodate up to 8 people in 3 bedrooms. We provide continental breakfast, lunch on the go, après ride drink and snacks and a home cooked dinner to recharge your batteries after a long biking day. We also can arrange GPS rentals, airport and train station pick-ups and professional mountain bike guides if necessary. We speak French and English fluently.

We have selected for you the best trails in the area, and of course none of them are on the official IGN maps. We also selected mountain biking routes depending on the climbing amount you want to do during your day trip. So you will be sure to not miss anything.
