Pumptrack Challenge Presented by Rockshox, Crankworx Rotorua 2017 - Results and Replay

Mar 30, 2017
by Pinkbike Staff

The 2017 Pumptrack Challenge presented by Rockshox proved testing for the riders with a number of days of rain resulting in a really soft track during practice and seeding. The corners at the back of each lane – vital for riders to maintain speed as they head back to the finish – were soft and slow, and eventually formed full blown ruts. But this is racing and everyone has to deal with the same course. By race time the sun had been out for a while and quickly dried everything out. Keegan Wright and Caroline Buchanan persevered and took advantage of the conditions, coming out on top after a great evening of racing.

Pro Men Results
1. Keegan Wright
2. Adrien Loron

Pro Women Results

Good to see a mix up on the top step. Hopefully it will happen in WC DH as well for the women. Her Rhonda Rousey comment cracked me up.

@teamtoad: I'm Tipping Buchanan to knock off Rachael Atherton in future DHs too.

@pinkbikeaudience D'oh! How about you put the link to the replay video above the results? Would've been much more fun to watch the replay without knowing who won.
