 Cathro into 44th!
  • 93 0
If he indeed qualified that should make PB front page! Headline: "Cathro Qualified - Line Boy is gid!"
  • 7 0
What does the cutoff line at 40 mean on the results sheet? Is the live feed that many riders?
  • 8 1
@suspended-flesh: That's just sticky tape. Top 30 are live if my terrible memory serves.
  • 13 0
Cathro says: "Caught a guy on my run so I figure that's at least 10s in the bag"

If only he was on the Grim Donut V2
  • 2 0
@cpscotti: Yeah - watched the times coming in and he looped past a guy - I did wonder if that cost him anything, 10 seconds might be a tad optimistic!
  • 2 1
@Waldon83: that is basically what Isak Leivsson is racing is grim donut dh, just homemade...
  • 2 0
@adrennan: ahhhh, the right amount of stupid !
  • 5 0
 THE PEOPLE’S CHAMPION!!!

 Finn!
  • 11 0
His split 4 must have been amazing. A few guys were quicker than him up until that point.
  • 7 1
@ajaxwalker: Yeah Wilson, Peirron and Bruni were on heaters until that 4th seggy and then lost a bunch of time to Finn
  • 7 0
@ajaxwalker: Danny hart won the race in the last split in 2019. He came from 2 seconds back I think.
  • 2 0
 so proud!!!!
  • 4 0
 @paulskibum: Bruni got a flat
  • 3 0
@ORTOGONAL555: I think I remember Pierron in 2019 saying he got unclipped right for the flat pedal after you exit a rock garden and that was what probably cost him the race
  • 5 0
 Finn and Jackson!!!
  • 1 1

  • 1 0
@PocoBoho: NO just stop he is Canadian and cool
  • 68 0

Well done Ben. Well worth missing Scottish Champs for at the weekend for sure.
The whole SDA will be so stoked for you.

  • 11 0
Isak Leivsson in there on the custom bike! What version is he on now, #10? Where's Marshy with the welder, we need version #11 before finals, gotta tweak that ratio.
  • 3 0
it is so sick. he reminds me of what the old era of dh must have been like with the likes of the canfield guys building the bikes they believed they needed to have a chance. so sick.
  • 13 0
 Go go go Izabela!
  • 4 0
So rad to see a Bulgarian at the sharp end!
  • 2 0
@eblackwell: Best thing since the northern Thracian 'Vampire Graves' they discovered in 2014

I'm a big fan of Izabela, don't get me wrong.
  • 8 0
 44th (currently)!

Didn't he just qualify? Yay Cathro!
  • 7 0
@O1D4: Congrats Ben. Good to see you qualifying for the main event!!!
  • 10 0
 No qualifying points for Daprela.....
  • 17 0
Longest hot seat stint in history coming up?
  • 2 0
@BenPea: Protected, so starting late. Isn't there some kind of nifty algorithm to guarantee that top riders show their sponsors in the live feed?
  • 3 0
@kerberos: aha you're right, just read that somewhere else. I try not to think about how the start order is generated, I don't have the brain cells to spare.
  • 1 0
Anyone know why Daprela isn’t listened? Even as a DNS / DNF?
  • 9 0
F-Yeah Canada!! Finn and Jackson crushing
  • 6 0
Sik mik you beast... I'm glazing over.. Will be sad to see this legend go.
Cathro... line boy lighting it up.
Anyone know what happened to Maxi Hartenstern?? My fantasy is depending on him.
  • 2 0
Massive washout before the rock jump
  • 2 0
Same, hope Max is okay for finals
  • 11 2
Pompom continues her dominant run, sheesh
  • 15 1
 It's Pompon
  • 4 2
She's got to love momma Atherton being out.
  • 1 2
@mluk2004: It can be spelled either way.
  • 10 0

 Cathro makes the big show!!!!
  • 8 0
Cathro: 3:25; 44th pos right now...
  • 9 0
 Cathro!!!!
  • 7 0
Look at Luca staying loose with the fractured wrist and gets in there at 3! Stay loose!
  • 5 0
12 UK riders in the top 25, that's mad. Nearly half of the live feed - perhaps a 'british feel' to track? Shorter and Flatter than other tracks with focus of maintaining speed is pretty similar to a lot of UK tracks?!?
  • 2 0
It’s slippery out there too, even without the rain! Goooooo east coast DH
  • 2 0
Mad how talented the uk rider scene is, considering the North Shore and Whistler alone probably has about as much terrain as here in the entire country.
  • 8 0
Wow.. Myriam Nicole is on fire !
  • 8 0
Cathro dropping it into the top 60 at the last rounds!
  • 9 0
 Cathro in 44th!
  • 8 0
Cathro you big long neck giraffe noodle bastard. Well done
  • 4 0
Will cathro post a vid of duff lines to throw of the competition?!
He could break check the jumps and just roll them but speed up the footage to convince others it’s faster!
  • 4 0
 Heck yeah Cathro!!!!

During his course preview, I think he said he only arrived with one wheelset? OMG! Check those spokes, run the CC, use the noodle arm finesse and cross fingers! Then tell us about the wheelset after!
  • 5 0
Is Mille Johnset protected? Will she race tomorrow after the DNF in qualifying?
  • 5 0
Pretty sure she is, said she'd break the beam today to keep her options open for tomorrow...
  • 9 0
@dolface: The crash she had on Vital RAW was pretty hefty. Not surprised she is taking it easy a very sudden stop using her head.
  • 2 0
@paulskibum: Yeah, that was savage and super-bad luck w/ that rock...
  • 6 0
Anyone know what happened to Greg Minnaar - DNF?
  • 3 1
I heard he rolled through the start gate then pulled off the course.
  • 2 0
@danteb: Resting. Mille Johnset did the same thing after her crash yesterday. Protected status means they are still racing at the top of the pack anyway.
  • 5 0
Crashed up top, according to the SC Syndicate Instastories looks like a grade 2 or 3 AC joint shoulder separation.
  • 2 0
@craig-the-barbarian: ah sheeeeit. I just got back from the ortho to check up on my separation and break. 80% healed after 5.5 months, this shit is lingering.
  • 4 0
Hit a tree in the top woods. Grade 2/3 AC joint. Sounds like he wants to race tmrw still though! Jeeeez
  • 2 0
@adamkat: He may want to but this won't work.
  • 4 0
Big Ben Noodle Airms.... well done Cathro . you have done Scotland proud ya lanky hoor.
  • 5 0
Jack and Corey Yes Boys!!! Virginia represent
  • 6 0
 Finn full gas nice !
  • 5 0
Congrat to @ben-cathro !! Qualified 44th ! Rooting for you Line Guy
  • 3 0
No clue what happened to some of the big boys (Daprela, Loris) but GM hit a tree in the tops woods and Loic had a flat near the finish. Explains a bit, but damnnnnn go Finn!
  • 5 0
 Yea slackyboy wtf ?
  • 1 0
On the Live Feed - to be immortalized by Rob Warner!
  • 3 0
Well done Dan Slack! Pretty good day for the Brits all round.
  • 3 0
Big Ben you legend forget the top ten everyones on here to see cathro qualify
  • 4 0
Rachel Pageau killin it for the Canadian Ladies! Go get it.
  • 4 1
5th place junior is same as women number 1 Myriam she is flying on this course
  • 6 0
She is definitely flying, but that also caught my eye - turns out its a mistake in the PB results, as the 5th place junior dude actually finished ~3:29.

Still, to be only 10 seconds back from a guy that will likely be on the Elite Men's WC circuit at some point is staggering. TBH, this season I was kinda assuming PomPom was going to be in the mix for every podium, but probably getting pipped by young guns like Vali, Marine and Camile...But nope, she's gone full Rachel/ACC and just destroying the field. So awesome to see from a "veteran" and from someone who broke the amoral f*ck out of her ankle 2 seasons ago. Also incredible to see all the bad ass ladies hitting all the big boy/girl jumps...I tip my full-face to Nicole and all the pinner women.
  • 5 0
 Cathro!!!! Shit yeah!!
  • 3 0
Finn for the win, Goldstone for Gold ! Go maple syrup ....
  • 2 0
Go Luca!! Congrats Cathro. But Bruni massively green first sectors. Watch out!

Luca is gonna throw down a HEATER y’all. So stoked for him
  • 2 0
pretty cool to see a world cup race somewhere other than europe.
  • 3 1
Has it started raining there? seems like a lot of riders now are way off.
  • 1 0
where can you find the overall standings? I don't know why I can't find the damn thing.
  • 1 0
I can't either but Redbull has the top folks: www.redbull.com/us-en/uci-mtb-world-cup-overall-standings
  • 1 0
From Vital, sounds like Greg took a big hit to the shoulder, hope all is OK.
  • 3 0
 Finn for the win!
  • 1 0
When there's lots of green in the split times like that you know the track is hard and the racing is going to be unreal.
  • 1 0
Note to self: Keep riding East Coast rocks...
  • 2 0
 Is the Goat okay?
  • 1 0
His IG shows his shoulder is pretty busted up. He's out.
  • 1 0
@Chuch: You sure he's out? He looks beat up but doesn't mean he's out. He's prequalified for finals so a DNF doesn't mean he misses the big show.
  • 1 0
His Insta says "We'll see what happens..." Looks like he's getting PT. Don't count him out yet.
  • 3 0
@brainbckt: honestly if he can ride down with a separated shoulder it would not be human.
  • 3 0
@browner: Perhaps you could say it would be caprine...
  • 2 0
@browner: Well he is the goat...
  • 2 0
@browner: He wouldn't be the first person to race that mountain with a fresh separation, hurts like hell but if you can hold on you can race. Kinda like dodge ball with wrenches.
Just point that school bus down the hill and let her eat!
  • 1 0
@browner: Pretty sure he's done it in the past, years ago, at Mt St Anne I think?
  • 2 0
 Reece was on a heater!
  • 2 1
 You’re in America now Frenchies
  • 11 0
I'd wait til after finals to make that comment...
  • 3 0
In France we say "c'est à la fin de la foire qu'on compte les bouses"...
So wait and see ! ;-)
