350 KM north of Race Face HQ in Vancouver, the town of Bralorne sits at the foothills of the Chilcotins. A facet of BC’s history, accessible via unpaved gravel under expansive skies, all but abandoned. From remote Chilcotin woodland to bustling town, the gold mine expanded the town with homes, lodges, schools and bars; wealth in the mountains. And just as hundreds of people rushed to create a bustling community in the hills, the markets shifted, and the town shrank away. But the mountains remain.
Lately, interest has been renewed in the area, with some of the best back-country access and terrain in the province. In May 2017 Race Face set out to explore Bralorne’s back-country and potential for mountain biking while shooting our 2018 Soft Goods Catalog.
