Race Preview: Canadian Enduro Series - Round 3 Revelstoke

Jun 23, 2022
by Canadian Enduro

Round #3 of the 2022 Norco Canadian Enduro Series presented by Leatt brings the series back to the mountain bike mecca that is Revelstoke. Revelstoke has unquestionably some of BC's best riding, with everything from freeride lines, man-made flow trails, and alpine singletrack. What more could you want. So without further ado, let's get into Round #3!

Race Preview

When we had the opportunity to come back to Revelstoke there was no way we could turn it down. Riders will face just over 60km and 2700m of climbing this weekend, a significant step up from the first two rounds. But what waits in store for the riders are 7 incredible stages! Check out our 2019 race video below to get stoked for this weekend!

The Course

With 7 stages across the weekend and limited practice, riders will be picking and choosing their practice carefully bringing back an element of the old-school blind enduro racing! #soenduro

Kicking things off for the weekend, riders will tackle the mammoth climb up to Ultimate Frisby for the longest stage of the weekend at over 3km. We had planned to go right to the top but sadly the unseasonable weather has left plenty of snow covering the upper half. Watch out next year! Things get a little easier from here on out. Riders will tackle Cash Advance, a trail with very little pedaling and a lot of brake dragging(it's steep!) for Stage 2 and Loggin Leftovers for Stage 3. A killer day of racing, even if we do say so ourselves.

Revelstoke Mountain Resort will be the place to be on Saturday night. Riders will be able to come and cash in their meal and drink tickets while listening to live music. A huge thanks to the Revelstoke Mountain Resort for putting this together.

Sunday will feature Stages 4 through to 7, and although it consists of an extra stage, it is in fact a shorter day than Saturday. Don't be fooled though - it still has more climbing! Up first riders will head right to the top of Boulder Mountain to tackle Bike Club, before returning right to the top again for Rednecks Revenge. Both technical, raw trails, there's no better way to start the day! We couldn't not feature the classic that is Boondocker for Stage 6 before ending out the day with Loggin Leftovers. What a weekend of racing!

We're incredibly lucky to have access to these great trails and love it when our riders show their support of the trails by donating to the local mountain bike association. This goes a huge way to helping ensure these trails are here and maintained for many years to come! A huge thanks goes out to the Revelstoke Cycling Association for their support this weekend in getting the trails dialled and ready to race!
